CG shutout for Velasquez today.
The young starting pitchers are showing some promise...
They still can't hit, the bullpen sucks, and staying out of last place would be an accomplishment, but I see some bright spots for the future.

Aren't the Braves still in the division? We'll stay out of last place as long as they are there.
But yes, pleasantly surprised with the starting rotation, there might be something there.

Velasquez, just wow. Harvey who? Max what's his name? Noah Syndahuh? Best pitcher in the NL East just landed in South Philly, mic drop.

I think they moved the Braves down to AAA for a season

Yeah, he's looking pretty damn good now (hasn't allowed a run in 15 innings, only allowed 6 hits)

This Braves team is one of the worst teams in modern baseball history. The Philadelphia A's record just might be in jeopardy this season.
Just looking it up. 9 of the 20 worst baseball teams in the modern era (by record) are Philadelphia teams...either the Phillies or the A's.

Reliever Daniel Stumpf suspended 80 games for the juice.
He loses half of the league minimum salary he was making. That gamble didn't quite work out.

I'm shocked that you just came by this knowledge. Did you just start watching baseball last year?

The unpredictability of baseball
 wake me in August when the games start to matter more...
Also go Marlins
If anyone plans to go to a Phils game and they're playing Miami, give me a heads up and I'll meet you there.

Yep the Phillies turned their fortunes around against the Nats in a big way, lose the first two & then have beaten them 4 in a row.
Great pitching all series & they're 2 games over .500 now & can't hit a lick haha.

Imagine if this team could hit. Still need to find a way to dump Howard. OPS is down to .600 something now, batting average may not get back over the Mendoza line. Anything would be better than him hitting 4th.
