MLB 2016

Post by Ibanez »

The 2016 Season is starting. Atlanta is already down 1, losing to the Nats in the final opening day game to be played in The Ted.

After a 2 yr losing streak, i'm hoping they can get out of the slump.
Turns out I might be a little gay. 89Hen 11/7/17

Phillies bullpen blew a lead in the opening game. Good to have the Phils back. :(

Does this need to be changed from Mets to Phillies?

Cano has 4 homers and 7 RBIs through the first three games.

And will probably finish with 20 and 70.

It's the only time that his lack of hustle around the bases is tolerated. :coffee:

Braves lost again, 3-1, to the Nats. Next up the St. Louis Flaggys

Early story of the year may be Matt den Dekker. Got called in Syracuse (where they're not playing because of snow) at 2pm, jumps on a plane for Atlanta, arrives at the park during the 5th inning, pinch hits in the 7th and knocks one off the wall for a double and 2 RBI to win the game.

Pregame, manager Dusty Baker when asked about his arrival, he said he'd be there in time to win the game in the 8th or 9th inning. :thumb:

He's playing in Colorado, should have some great seasons ahead of him.

He might, with that pitching staff 100 losses is certainly doable this year. They are horrible.

Phillies may have three decent starters in the rotation. Not winning the pennant this year but should be more than enough to keep them out of the basement and well away from 100 losses. Baby steps.

23-year old Velasquez strikes out 16 in a 3-hit shutout for the Phillies over the Padres. Wow.

The Padres are 1st team in MLB history to be shut out 5 times in first 10 games of the season.

Seriously, why doesn't San Diego get the credit it deserves as a place where sports teams go to die?

Harper hit his 100th home run yesterday
It was his first grand slam (believe it or not)
8th youngest player to ever hit 100 home runs

Like him or not, the kid is a helluva baseball player
