You're right...not much difference between Hillary and Cruz...both have strong ties to Wall Street.

In all fairness Trump has close ties to Wall Street too. Kasich also. He spent 27 of the last 36 years in politics. 7 of the 9 years outside of politics were 2001 until their 2008 collapse as managing director of Lehman's investment banking division. They all have close ties to Wall Street. Except for maybe Sanders.

Course the 2 people Wall Street fears the most are Trump and Sanders.

The Benghazi probe is "the longest-running congressional investigation ever."
There are plenty more like her saying all of her grandparents were immigrants (they weren't) or that she was named after Sir Edmund Hilary ( who didn't become famous for Everest until after Clinton was born.)

I just don't understand how someone with NO character and a willingness to tell bold face lies can be so popular.
Honestly; because they don't give a fuck - at all. It's easier to explain it all away as right-wing attacks than to accept that she has some serious electability issues that are directly related to her lack of honesty.

As a veteran, the "landed under sniper fire" and "I tried to join the Marines" fish tales particularly piss me off.

Trump tells a shit load of lies, too, and it just seems to make him stronger.

Yes, I know. I would genuinely like to hear from a supporter, Dback, what he thinks about her blatant lies.

The thing is, for the most part, they aren't lies about her experience. It's lies about her life that she's constructed to make herself more appealing to the people in front of her.

From the sniper fire, to the Marines, to her grandparents being immigrants, etc...

And how about her hypocrisy? She cares about pay equality yet she can't even get her husbands foundation to practice it. She cares about accountability in campaign finance...just as long as it means she doesn't have to eschew Wall Street or foreign gov't. She cares about womens health and their issues....as long as they aren't the ones fucking her husband.

When questioned, she blames the Republicans and her followers never hold her accountable. She's never been held accountable.

Like I said, I'd like to hear why someone is supporting this fraud and why they ignore her serious character deficiencies.

 to both of these. I think the low information voters are the apolitical types who don't give it much time but always vote. Highly susceptible to the distortions of the establishment media.

I don't know one single Hillary supporter. I know many Trump and Bernie supporters and a few Cruz supporters. Same thing on Facebook. People posting pro Bernie and Trump shit everywhere, and Clinton attack meme's. I will occasionally see someone defend Hillary, but never anything positive on her.

She's like Michael Jackson. Massively popular but I never knew anyone who owned an album.

(Also grossly over-rated like Michael)

Back on topic for a sec, I like this quote from John Boner in the article Ibanez linked in the Republican primary thread:
Boehner also speculated about surprises that could come closer to the Democratic National Convention if Hillary Clinton’s emails became a larger scandal.

“Don’t be shocked … if two weeks before the convention, here comes Joe Biden parachuting in and Barack Obama fanning the flames to make it all happen,” Boehner said.
Do Obama and Biden really hate her that much? Wow.

Good assist.

I have to say, you don't often realize that you are living through a historical moment. We didn't know the 2001 election would be historical until the next day. 9/11 was surely one of those times.

This election is quickly becoming one of those times. :thumb:

The poll, released Wednesday night by the Public Policy Institute of California, showed Mrs. Clinton leading Mr. Sanders among likely voters, 46 percent to 44 percent — within the margin of error. A survey by the organization in March found Mrs. Clinton with a lead of 48 percent to 41 percent over Mr. Sanders.

I'm channeling Spandos...

What if the Democrat Convention turns into a real shit show, like violent anger from the Sanders followers when Hillary is pronounced the candidate.
Pandemonium, everywhere.
Trump vs Hillary keeps moving forward, with Sanders follower continuing to fuck shit up everywhere along the trail. BLM and the Occupy crowds join in.
Someone demands that this needs to end and Obama declares martial law and stays President until the unrest is settled....
"Elaine, you're from Baltimore, right?"
"Yes, well, Towson actually."
