**OFFICIAL CLUB SOCCER THREAD**
Re: **OFFICIAL 14/15 CLUB SOCCER THREAD**
I've been tempted to bump this but haven't for fear of butterfly effecting the rest of the season.
The title will be ours.
Also, one season wonder my ass. He's outscored Aston Villa on his own this year.
Dele might be my favorite player on and off the field. He is a fucking riot to follow

Re: **OFFICIAL 14/15 CLUB SOCCER THREAD**
How did I miss this??
Totty had a helluva season. But hard to believe that Leicester is one win away (or one Totty tie/loss away) from winning the EPL title. First team other than ManU, ManC, Chelsea or Arsenal to win the EPL since Blackburn in 95

Tottenham will become the first team to finish above Man U, Man City, Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea and not win the title in about 3 decades

Re: **OFFICIAL 14/15 CLUB SOCCER THREAD**
To be fair, this is the first time in 22 years that one of those 5 teams did not win it all so Leicester is the first team in 22 years to finish ahead of all those teams.clenz wrote:Tottenham will become the first team to finish above Man U, Man City, Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea and not win the title in about 3 decades

So what do the Spurs give all their players for finishing second? Extra helping of matzo balls? Some free yamahas to pass out to the fans?clenz wrote:Tottenham will become the first team to finish above Man U, Man City, Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea and not win the title in about 3 decades

Tottenham goes up 2-0 over Chelsea at the end of the first half.
Leicester aren't actually going to blow this, are they?

All they have to do is win or tie 1 of their final 2 gamesGrizalltheway wrote:Tottenham goes up 2-0 over Chelsea at the end of the first half.
Leicester aren't actually going to blow this, are they?
Or the Tots lose or tie 1 of their final 2 games
Either way, I think LC only needs 1 point
(Right?)
Doesn't seem likely that they'd blow it, but I guess crazier shit has happened I guess
Re: **OFFICIAL 14/15 CLUB SOCCER THREAD**
Spurs have 69 right now. Would have 72 with a win today (should they hold on)bandl wrote:All they have to do is win or tie 1 of their final 2 gamesGrizalltheway wrote:Tottenham goes up 2-0 over Chelsea at the end of the first half.

Can finish with 78. LC has 77. They need two points to win the league. Spurs would win on GD if tied

Re: **OFFICIAL 14/15 CLUB SOCCER THREAD**
Leicester is hosting Everton and then going to Chelsea after just grabbing a point at ManU this weekend
Tottenham hosts Southampton and then goes to Newcastle
Assuming Tottenham grabs the 3 points, Leicester would need 2 ties or a win or a loss or tie by Tottenham - Tottenham would get the tiebreak if they won 2 games and Leicester ties and loses based on goal differential.
Leicester should get the win next week against Everton but if they settle for a tie and Tottenham beats Southampton at home, things could get interesting. Leicester could be nervous going away for the final game in what could be a must win game for them @ Chelsea.

That's what I wasn't sure of, the tiebreaker.clenz wrote:Spurs would win on GD if tied
Head-to-head doesn't matter, right?
If that even matters in this case.
Man, I think I've managed to watch about 5 game, er, matches this entire season.

Re: **OFFICIAL 14/15 CLUB SOCCER THREAD**
I know GD is the first tiebreaker.
H2H wouldn't make much sense to me, considering teams play each other twice.

Right now (spurs up 2-1 with 20 minutes left in today's match) Spurs are +40 in GD...think about how crazy that sounds to say.bandl wrote:That's what I wasn't sure of, the tiebreaker.clenz wrote:Spurs would win on GD if tied

Haha.
That was actually a damn nice goal to tie it up. Nobody is stopping that one.
