I'm still trying to figure out how certain churches claim oppression here in America. If the government actually FORCES churches to stop, then is the time worry. America still has gallons of freedom of religion.

I don't like property taxes, period, for reasons others have basically mentioned.
I can remember sitting in a hot tub at a St. Simons Island, Georgia, health club back in the 1980s talking with a Black (Gullah) guy whose family had owned land on the Island for generations. I'll always remember the conversation. St. Simons Island was becoming a popular development area. Land was valuable. And his family was being taxed out of their land as a result. They could not afford the property taxes. So they either had to sell their land to developers or have the government seize it.
If I had my way there would be no way your land could be taken from you because you cannot pay property tax. To me property tax is evil.

Well, I believe that I must tell the truth
And say things as they really are
But if I told the truth and nothing but the truth
Could I ever be a star?

But since we have property taxes, I just think religion is a shady reason to exempt an owner from it.
