Where exactly was Bush not emotionally mature? Just not sure where you measured that.

Just think about how he responded to all the insults and criticism he was getting. He maintained an even keel. He did not engage in personal attacks. Or if he ever did things that might be construed as "personal attack" it was minimal. He maintained a professional demeanor. And yes I realize he wasn't articulate. But I'm talking about the way he handled himself.

You would never have seen him acting like a petulant little kid like Trump does.

Donald Trump has repeatedly labeled his political opponents liars. He dubbed Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) Lyin' Ted when it became clear that Cruz was a serious rival for his nomination; he called Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) an "even bigger liar" than Cruz. He dubbed Dr. Ben Carson a "pathological liar" and said former Florida Governor Jeb Bush's lies were almost as bad as Cruz's. Trump has termed virtually every mildly adversarial media member a liar, too.

But there's only one truly massive liar in this race: Donald Trump. When Politico attempted to measure how many lies Trump told over the course of 4.6 hours of speeches, they found that he lied, on average, once every five minutes. When Huffington Post catalogued his lies over the course of just one town hall event, they came up with 71 lies.

You guys keep giving this guy a pass and he's just absolutely horrible. Even by the standards of politicians he is by far the worst I've ever seen in terms of just brazen, bald faced dishonesty. And that's just ONE of the problems with him. There are many others. You people who have supported him or are now supporting him are either insane or you, as I have said many times, have just suspended your critical thinking skills due to some kind of cult of personality thing or something.

I expect it to continue. No matter how much evidence there is out there...no matter how much you can just SEE that the guy is bad news if you just watch him for 10 minutes...you're going to rationalize it in your minds so you can continue your hero worship because for some reason you like seeing someone be an asshole. It's not my Party. I just am the type that votes for one of the candidates that has at least some minimal chance to win in Presidential elections and that always means Democrat or Republican. So far during my life I've always chosen the Republican. And I believe the Democrat Party has been and is a very destructive influence. I look at the Republican Party as the only viable check.

But now the Republicans have totally screwed up with respect to choosing a nominee. They selected a nominee that no person who is both rational and decent can vote for. It's extremely disappointing to be put into the position of having to vote for the Democrat in a Presidential elections. But that's how badly the Republicans screwed this one up.

Nevertheless, I cannot believe what the Republican electorate just did. I've defended them for years. I can defend them no longer. All the crap liberals have been saying about them all this time is apparently true. At least it is with respect to enough of a plurality of them to create this obscene situation.

As much as it pains me to say it, the Democrat primary electorate has never done anything as absurd as what the 2015/2016 Republican primary electorate just did.
