France is going to be tough to beat, and on the home soil. At least they have one of the better national anthems. Germany's is good too, and I always like watching the English play.

UEFA has threatened to disqualify Russia and England if this crap continues

On the field, games have been exciting.

Trump's rhetoric drove the Russians to be aggressive.

Iceland ties Portugal.

And, Hungary 2-0 over Austria is pretty surprising as well.

Officially hit with a "suspended disqualification", meaning if anything happens again they are gone.

Do the Welsh or Slovkian fans have the smarts to egg on the Russian fans during their games against Russia?

Iceland has a badass squad. They might not be skilled enough to get past the group stage, but I like how they're probably the only team in the world which doesn't flop. At one point, Portugal had three guys down and the Icelanders were just laughing at the stupidity unfolding.

If anything, I like their style of pride.

So you're saying mainland europeans are mostly faggots? I think I agree with you.

I love the fact that the Russians have hooligan fans now.

Is anyone really scared of a few Brit fags who look like they should be extras in Trainspotting?

Hell no, but fucking crazy Russians coming at you? Different ballgame!

I was watching highlights with no sound on the treadmill this morning. It looks like if a guy kicks the ball past a couple of lines on the field and his teammate is behind the defenders it's icing, right? And trying to keep the score as close to zero or tying is the goal, correct? :coffee:

I read about the fighting in the paper on Sunday and found it on youtube. The quotes section was hilarious. Those folks don't like each other. One was "I Russian, I kill you".

Russia has the most hooligans.

For the most part, hooligan culture has been minimized or at least marginalized in most of Europe. Eastern Europe is a different story.

They still meet up at scheduled times and places and have mass brawls. They train and have tryouts for their brawl squads, etc. It's fucking nuts.

Ruh roh, Ruskies are down 2-0 to Slovakia at the start of the second half. Things could get ugly if they don't turn it around...

Russians lost 2-1. They're basically out of the Euro at this point anyway. Couple that with maybe the country being banned from the upcoming Olympics anyway because of extensive national team doping over the past few years, and maybe these professional hooligans might just say "aw, what the heck" and go out in style and beat the crap out of some people, penalties be damned.

Damn, Wales gets their hearts broken in added time against England. Still can move on if they beat Russia in the final game. Damn English, always pick the wrong time to win.

3 points may move on a 3rd place team as 4 of the 6 3rd place teams move on to the round of 16. Only 8 of the 24 teams get eliminated in the group stage. But yeah, I was at first hoping that Wales would hold on for the win then the tie so that England and Russia would be in 3rd and 4th place going into the final game
