My best friend growing up was gay, so I've seen the struggles he went through. Being called a fag in the hallways, being pushed around, constantly hearing others called gay as if it's a derogatory term...or a lesser person. We went to gay pride parades together, protests, clubs, bars, balls. The LGBT community is one of the most accepting communities out there towards all types of Americans...whether gay, straight, trans, Hispanic, black, Arab, Jewish, etc. They understand the struggles they and other minority groups go through and have fought hard to bring equality to this nation...and it's still not there yet. So when they're considered "lesser" Americans 'cause they aren't displaying the US flag, it honestly irks me. IMO, the LGBT community is the quintessential definition of American. More so than many "Americans" out there which constantly try to push aside anyone not like them.

This is an insanely ridiculous thread, and some of the arguments here are equally insane. I don't know, maybe an ever-changing America just scares some of you? I wish no one ill, but it does sadden me how much anger/fear some of you have; what a waste of emotions.

Not a single homosexual has been killed by Hillary's actions. You could argue that US government's action when Hillary was a Senator and/or Secretary of State might have contributed to an atmosphere in which homosexuals were killed in Muslim countries. But that's just an opinion. There's no way to know what would've happened if the US government, which has maintained relationships with countries like Saudi Arabia under all of the Republican and Democratic Presidential Administrations of my lifetime, had at some point in the past said they would not deal with such countries or whatever unless they started treating homosexuals better. Personally, my bet would be it would've made no difference at all.

Meanwhile comparing what has happened while HIllary was in government to what Trump has done while NOT in government is pointless. Trump has never been there. But he's shown NO aversion at all to dealing with Muslim countries in his business ventures. There is absolutely no reason to believe that he's going to get into office then tell Saudi Arabia it's going to have to treat homosexuals better.

Hillary was against gay marriage. Yup...she said it. She is on film saying it. She was against it. FACT.

There is no denying that fact.

However, Hillary denied that fact.

When it became politically convenient for her to say that she supports gays, she suddenly changed her mind. Not because she had an epiphany. Nope. She simply changed her mind because it suddenly became advantageous, politically, to say she is for gay marriage.

FACT.

She was asked, in an NPR interview, whether she changed her mind on gay marriage because it was now OK to do so. The interviewer, a big Clinton supporter, tried to cover for Clinton. She asked leading questions so that Clinton could say that she was for gay marriage all the time, but politics prevented Hillary from openly saying so.

One would think Clinton would have taken the out.

But, instead, Clinton said she was ALWAYS for gay marriage and her record said so.

JSO, in case you weren't paying attention, Clinton's record said she was firmly against gay marriage. Plenty of video of Clinton saying marriage was only between an man and a women.

So, JSO...you now are faces with the fact that what you wrote above is a condemnation of people lying that they were for gay marriage all the time. and that person, not hypothetically, is actually CLINTON.

Another reality: Hillary is either going senile...and she is forgetting what she has stood for during her career (and the gay marriage isn't the only flip flop she's done for political purposes), or she is the stone cold psychotic liar, in actuality, that you believe (and all you have is a guess, not facts) that Trump would be.

So, stick to this one incident. Respond.
