I shoot the same way- I'm right handed and I shoot a pistol right handed but I shoot rifles and shotguns left handed. I also shoot pool left handed.

I never knew why for the longest time until I became a cop and a respected firearms instructor told me it is because my left eye is dominant- and he was correct. I have always focused with my left eye.

I'm sure there's some study out there that describes the crossed wires in my head and your girlfriend's, too

You obviously don't understand gun safety with your excuses. You and your girlfriend/wife might want to brush up on gun safety.


Since you feel slighted and are angry about someone pointing out a MAJOR flaw in the gun safety demonstrated in your picture, I will post attempt to help you out in being SAFE!

I am only trying to prevent an unfortunate incident.

I hope you and your girlfriend/wife take a firearms class or, at the very least, read up on the safe handling techniques of long guns, pistols, shotguns, and the like. I wouldn't want anyone to be hurt because of a novice mistake.

I cannot tell you how valuable that your detailed instructions were on saving my life in that photo

When we escaped the room and waited for darkness
we eventually snuck back in and ambushed the gun as it lay on the table in the gun bag locked
and partially disassembled

With your detailed instructions we then removed all the screws and bolts
and lit the entire building on fire with the gun inside

Thankfully the Fire department reported that indeed "The gun had been destroyed"
and no lives were lost due to the rogue weapon

32 died in the fire but I'm sure you'll post a "Fire safety" thread soon
to save us all from the unknown dangers of FIRE

Right after the first accidental discharge because of poor safety practices, I am sure a law suit will come forward aimed at the gun manufacturer.

But I think we need to be intellectually honest and go through the process provided by the Constitution to make changes if changes are necessary instead of playing this game. And doing things like referring to hunting is absurd. All other things aside the Second Amendment clearly isn't talking about hunting weapons. It's talking about military arms. And "arms" goes beyond just guns. It's putting a restriction on the Federal government with respect to controlling military arms.

The 2nd amendment was written by people that didn't believe in standing armies or foreign entanglements.
