On the Heels of Brexit...

Post by SuperHornet »

...there's a move for Texas to secede from the United States. It's got the not-so-creative moniker "Texit."

I know they along with Cali have been a separate country before (Cali for only a few months, TX for significantly longer), but I would have thought Lincoln had settled THAT question already.

(Actually, we DO have a secession movement in Cali right now, only it's not secession from the US. A few wacked-out northern border counties have joined with a few wacked-out southern border counties in Oregon to form the proposed State of Jefferson. The referenda aren't going well for the movement, however....)

Probably half of the states have a secessionist movement.

As long as they pay for the wall I have no problem with that.

One way to stop the Texans from talking about leaving is telling them that their pro and college sports teams will not automatically continue to be a member of the leagues they are currently in if they leave.
