"The C.I.A. helped Jordan establish its intelligence service — the General Intelligence Directorate, or G.I.D. — during the reign of King Hussein, who died in 1999. Although the agency is respected in Washington as a professional and competent force, two of its recent leaders have gone to prison for embezzlement, money laundering and bank fraud. This latest case suggests there is corruption throughout the organization.
Instead of delivering the weapons to the American-backed rebels, the Jordanian officers involved in the recent swindle sold Kalashnikov rifles, mortars and rocket-propelled grenades to several large arms bazaars that have long stocked the arsenals of criminal gangs, tribes and other groups. Then the officers bought themselves S.U.V.s, iPhones and other luxuries. Although word of the theft reached the Jordanian government last year, the operation was not shut down until a few months ago, after American and Saudi complaints.
G.I.D. investigators arrested several dozen officers involved in the scheme, and the officers were fired. But they were eventually freed and permitted to keep their pensions and profits from the theft."
Hillary wanted the Syrian war...and the Libyan war.
Yup...that is the kind of experience we need in the Oval Office.
Oh, and we have promised Jordan $3 BILLION dollars in economic and miliatray aid, partly to help with the refugee problem Obomba and Hillary helped create.
Wonder what we could do with $3 billion dollars to help our own people?
Funny, the writer manages to blame the CIA for their lack of oversight...and tries to imply Obomba didn't want to arm the rebels.

Yup, imagine the New York Times trying to find a way to not blame Obomba or Hillary.
Obomba knew what would happen, and made the decision to interfere anyway. He sure likes to use that pen, doesn't he?
