IMO, the uproar would be similar. We had similar outrage when a Minnesota Hmong man shot 8, killing 6, white hunters across the border, in Wisconsin. He was sent to prison in Iowa.

Asian shooting a white person. That's the only story I could remember from the top, but I can do some research and see if I can find an Asian cop. Plenty of them in the Twin Cites.

There is and should be a bigger uproar over an African Americans being shot in this style by police. In the Twin Cities, the number of African Americans dying in police confrontation, is double the percentage of the population. 30% of the total deaths involving police are African American.

BTW, someone may have already noted this but I think the victim's girlfriend's behavior was atrocious. The guy was still alive. He was dying. And instead of trying to be with him and comfort him the chick was doing Facebook. What she did contributed absolutely nothing to the case because it didn't capture the actual incident. There the guy was writhing in pain and dying and there she was doing a Facebook stream.

If someone you loved had just been shot and was dying, would you be doing a Facebook stream? Or would you be freaking out, holding them, telling them to hold on, etc.?

The cop sounded more upset over the situation than she did.

Umm....did you notice the still jacked up cop pointing a .45 at the dying guy he just pumped four rounds into? I don't think I'd have been moving and I'd have been saying "yes officer/no officer" just as she was doing.

I think the Minnesota Governor just did something irresponsible. He asked "Would this have happened if the driver and the passenger had been White?" then answered his own question by saying "I don't think it would've."

That's really, really bad for him to have said that. It's politically expedient. But it's not the right thing to say at this point.

You're right. He should have spoken from a teleprompter and then lied in front of an FBI Director that had no balls. In that way, the Governor would look professional and been able to appeal to people who like fake leaders.

People like you would applaud this and said what a great leader and person he was.

You have no right to judge a person whose life is defined by making sure their story is being told via today's media.

You, of all people, have decided that a person's personality, honesty, and character is defined by today's social media platforms.

A lie is a lie to you, despite the differences in actual ramifications. This driver told a story through the media...a compelling story. She wanted her story to be told through the media, and she focused on what kind of story she wanted to tell.

She is a perfect example of the type of person you believe is fit for the President's office.

As tragic as this situation is, the Clinton story is far bigger news.

320+ million people in this country, hundreds of thousands (if not more than a million) local, state, & federal law enforcement in this country. These encounters happen literally thousands of times a day, hundreds of thousands (or millions) of times a year. And just about everyone has a smart phone video camera on them nowadays. Even if 99.999% don't end up like this, you're still going to have a handful where the cops f'ed up (or looked like on video they f'ed up). I'm not surprised at all of the amount of instances we've had..
