So as NATO grows, our relationships with Russia and China as well as our "allies" in the middle east deteriorates, and we're supposed to be afraid of eeeeeeevil isolationism and nationalism.

jelly FAILS again...this time in a Huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge way. :dunce:

Trump isn't kneeling to Russia...he is telling everyone in NATO to play by the rules or the agreement is dead. That has little to do with Russia...it is just good business.

What the fvck is wrong with that? :suspicious:

Only a dumbazz socialist like skelly would continue to think the US gubmint should pay for everything for everyone around the world.

Furthermore, why be conservative in anything? The treaty is old...should we go back to the ways of the 50s, or should we progress?

And, as treaties go, they all come to an end sometime. When a treaty becomes a burden to one country, without many benefits, it is time to renegotiate or drop the treaty.

Trump is correct. Time for the US to stop policing the world. Others have to pony up or face the consequences. This really isn't hard to understand...except for some dolts.

Oh, and Turkey had better listen up. A few Russian bombs going Turkey's way would not be such a bad thing these days.

Then, defend the fuck out of them. What's the problem?

Why does the NORTH ATLANTIC Treaty Organization have members in Southern Europe in the first place? Sounds like the Baltic states need to get their own alliance pact together.

Its not the 1950s anymore. Remember all the talk about how the parties "switched"? Well the Democrats have been going back to their roots more and more this election cycle. :coffee:

Pretty sure all of Europe in in the Northern Hemishpere, but kalmmy and WTAG might disagree with my geography knowledge.

Southern European members have been in since the get-go.

You do know that the Atlantic Ocean also exists in the Southern Hemisphere, right?

Are we counting former colonies and current overseas territories?

I once had a friend from London call and ask, " How are things in the colonies?"

That's my point, more and more Democrats are showing themselves to being the very things they claim to despise.

Kinda like the National Basketball Association having a team in Toronto, or the National Football League wanting a team in London.

I'm too lazy to look for the thread, but I distinctly remember you having a cow about a video of what you thought were U.S. troops parading on the Estonia/Russia border. Now you're having a cow about Trump saying the U.S. might not defend the Baltic countries.
