The Conk nominee is the only one who took on the establishment status quo and didn't acquiesce.
On the contrary, I've appreciated Trump's honesty regarding campaign finance.
I didn't claim you were defending The Hildabeast or Burney, like you usually do.
However, since the Donks have been shitting the bed the past couple of days, you've been doing a lot of "but Conks...".

Most conks are outwardly opposed to campaign finance so when they pipe up about a quid pro quo with Clinton appointments as in this thread...yeah I'll point out the hypocrisy.Baldy wrote:kalm wrote:

Just like I've consistently pointed out the hypocrisy of establishment Dems all along.
Hope this helps with your confusion.

Not as entertaining as Conks pretending they weren't sucking W's dick on AGS pre-2008.

Ok Cluck, I agree with a lot of this isolationism type of “world policing”. Nothing would please me more than to see the world fall into utter chaos when we stop playing Captain Save-a-hoe. Now the question is this: Do we let Russia do/take whatever they want? Is there a limit at which point we step in and say enough is enough? They will expand to take back what is “theirs”, and eventually they will reach beyond that. So then what?Cluck U wrote:Who needs success against Putin?Skjellyfetti wrote:Putin will pwn Trump as well.
Trump has no experience in foreign policy at all. He has no qualms at all about disintegrating NATO. I'm not sure what makes y'all think that Trump would have any success against Putin.
Hillary is trash... but, I don't get how y'all are so excited about Trump...![]()
Seriously, WTF are you complaining about?
Obama is trying to screw with Russia and Russia is kicking Obama's arse...and deservedly so.![]()
We have no business on Russia's borders, yet we continue to operate as though they are a threat to us, so we keep pushing Russia into a corner. For what? My bet is for more markets for the Western wealthy.
To say that Trump would do worse than Obama is to believe that we should be fvcking with Russia...and that is just plain stupid.
It amazes me that people do not study their history, but they are willing to give opinions on global matters. Russia is not going to be a direct threat to the US. They can't occupy our land...they can't outperform us in the markets...they can't do shit to the US of gawdamned America...PERIOD.
Yet some folks want to paint them as the big bad wolf that we have to battle.
Frankly, that is a waste of time. Russia isn't going to roll into Germany...they just aren't. What would Putin gain by such a move?Russia isn't going to threaten any of our traditional allies or markets.
What Russia will do is try to steady their borders and reestablish what they see is their role in their neighboring states. Duh...that is what EVERY country tries to do.
Big deal. Let them.![]()
Russia will simply do what we do...they will just do it in a less sophisticated and less sneaky way. Oh, the horror.![]()
Again, we will need Russia more as an ally than an enemy. I am not concerned about Latvia, Georgia, Persnikita, or any other tiny country's interests. They have dealt with powers at their doorstep for millennia...they'll deal with it now. And let's not try to pretend that we are their saviors...all we are doing is putting different people in the driver's seats...the direction of travel isn't much different except for more useless distractions.

First of all, they do not have the manpower...they aren't like China. They aren't going to challenge Germany, France, or any nuclear power. No one wants nuclear war. MAD is still alive and well because even Russian goons don't want their power bases, and themselves, destroyed.
If Latvia and the other tiny countries play nice with Russia, they can govern themselves. But, if they continue to go further into the arms of Western businesses and politics, then Russia will respond to protect their own interests. It really is that simple.
Seriously, if Mexico were suddenly chumming up with China, and getting into a mutual defense pact, the US would arrange a regime change ASAP. Ditto Canada. We simply would not allow those countries to become a threat politically and economically.
The idea that Russia would expand across the globe is silly. Western Europe can defend themselves easily enough if they want to. Right now, they want us to defend them. Fvck that.

Wasn’t really referring to Western Europe, I agree that I don’t think Russia wants/needs to “get them”. Russia sells them the bulk of their fossil fuels so they already have them by the balls.Cluck U wrote:Russia is not going to expand everywhere.SDHornet wrote: Ok Cluck, I agree with a lot of this isolationism type of “world policing”. However these former satellite states (especially Eastern Europe), why wouldn’t they want to reclaim them? By playing nice with Russia I assume you mean operating a puppet like government that is in lock-step with Moscow. In that case yes, they won’t roll tanks into a country like that. What about Poland? Lot of history between the two going back hundreds of years. No NATO means places like Poland are potentially fair game.
Putin wants to reclaim the glory Russia once had under the former Soviet Union. By reclaiming these former satellites (not necessarily by force) he can do just that. Putin takes what Putin wants and that will be exasperated if we allow him to do so.
Look I’m not saying we should continue on with 1980’s foreign policy, but eventually a line in the sand will be drawn (see what I did there). Who is worth fighting for (anyone?) and why (oil, natural resources, rare minerals?)?Above all, we should acknowledge that the collapse of the Soviet Union was a major geopolitical disaster of the century… Tens of millions of our co-citizens and compatriots found themselves outside Russian territory.

Re: RE: Re: HillaryLeaks
The policy of "containing" any rival world power by the United States is folly and hypocritical, especially since we clearly take the same actions in our own backyard. NATOs sole purpose is to protect Western Europe from Russian/Soviet aggression. Having the might of the US military behind it caused them to overexpand their reach, but its obligation can still be fulfilled without the US being a part of it.SDHornet wrote:Wasn’t really referring to Western Europe, I agree that I don’t think Russia wants/needs to “get them”. You're impossible to gauge. You vote for Obama and Trump. You clearly don't vote on actual issues... I have no idea what you vote on. I wouldn't consider you a Conk or a Donk.
