Confirmation bias at work...
Politifact has received a backlash from readers on
rating the Michelle Obama words "I wake up everyday in a house built by slaves"
They rated the statement true...
Then the various spin machines (even the no spin zone) began the spin process

The White House was originally built with some slave labor, but the WH was completely destroyed in the War of 1812. On top of that the WH has gone under two complete remodels. One significant enough that the entire interior of the WH was gutted in the late 1940's - early 1950's so a new series of bunkers could be built under the house.
If you want, you could say that she sleeps (symbolically) in a house built by slaves, but the facts say otherwise. As usual, Politifact did a horrible job of explaining this.

There are days when I just don't want cold pizza out of the refrigerator for breakfast. Not many days, but certainly a few. I then turn to pancakes or a pork roll & egg sammich.SunCoastBlueHen wrote:IWop knows his IHOPCAA Flagship wrote: And the International House of Pancakes is not built with pancakes.

I'm going to the Jersey Shore this weekend, actually tomorrow at lunch, and I am planning on getting a Taylor pork roll sammich Saturday morning.

You can trace your family back to the early 1700's and they've had that land ever since?CID1990 wrote:For the first 17 years of my life I lived on a piece of land where 300 years earlier my ancestors killed and were killed by injens.

Liverwurst isn't breakfast food.

Pork Roll is really Taylor Ham from NJ, sliced thin and cooked up. Think Montanadian Bacon.
Taylor Ham is a higher quality than Scrapple, but then again, we are comparing the 7th and 8th hitters in the lineup.

But I did find one that served Scrapple. I posted about it here about a year ago, I think in the Scrapple thread.

Do you put ketchup on it? Some places automatically add ketchup. I didn't for many years. Then I got one without asking for ketchup and was forced to eat it. Not bad. Very different though.andy7171 wrote:kalm wrote:

Yes, we've been seeing that all week in Philadelphia.
