I completely agree...Pwns wrote:The only way to beat Shrillary is to force her to fight a two-front war. We can't do that with Stein dropping bombs on her own campaign instead of attacking Hillary.

If they were more mainstream candidates, they would be a part of the two major partiesChizzang wrote:I completely agree...Pwns wrote:The only way to beat Shrillary is to force her to fight a two-front war. We can't do that with Stein dropping bombs on her own campaign instead of attacking Hillary.

But this tends to be the overwhelming problem with 3rd party candidates
They have a few great ideas and a pile of garbage behind the curtain

They just throw it out for everyone to see and 99% of the population eats it up from one side or the other.kalm wrote:Good thing there's no garbage behind the curtains of mainstream candidates!89Hen wrote:![]()

Different piles. I believe what Cleets is talking about is actual platform garbage in the case of the third party candidate. That's in addition to any personality or indiscretion garbage they may have on top of that.kalm wrote:Good thing there's no garbage behind the curtains of mainstream candidates!89Hen wrote:![]()

If you're trying to paint me as a Trump or Clinton sympathizer, you're barking up the wrong tree.

The Jill Stein's of the 3rd party world have some (some) fantastic ideas
And they have some - completely insane - poorly conceived - dangerously stupid - ideas

I didn't say 3rd parties didn't have their share of lunacy but I guess I'm becoming less and less a fan of the prevailing wisdom. Prevailing wisdom brought us insane deregulation of banks, war in Iraq, prohibition of drugs, reliance on Middle East oil, etc.

And can't money drive some "completely insane, poorly conceived, and dangerously stupid" policies?Chizzang wrote:kalm wrote:

American Political "Prevailing Wisdom" is entirely about MONEY...
Every single point you make ^ there is ultimately about MONEY
