Goddang! I just checked real estate in North Creek. $225/sq ft is crazy. There's a $480k house, 3bd, 2.5 ba 2100 sq ft.

WIfe and I looked at a listing today for a house that's 2300 sq ft, 3bd, 2 ba, 1 acre and with a pool. $95/sq ft.

$225 is the low average in that area - we're paying $260

The northwest is stunningly beautiful. Admittedly I have spent more time in the western part than the eastern part. The problem obviously is the eastern part is it is just too damn wet.

I did wander the foothills around Seattle . Can't remember the name of the area but I think it was north east of the town. I was struck by how much the area actually reminded me of the mountains in upper sc. Western nc. And eastern tenn. it was slightly greener. And we don't have the occasional monster volcano sticking up out of the ground but it was remarkably similar overall.

But let's face it once you get close to the Rockies, west of that whether desert or rain forest or in between is georgeous .

If it's near the North Creek Sports fields by Woodinville y'all need to stop your bitching. That's hardly the "boonies".

9 miles from Everett, 31 from Seattle is the middle of nowhere? I used to go to Whidbey Island (US Navy) and remember travelling to Snohomish to meet with friends. You have some interesting definitions of middle of nowhere, fancy houses, etc...

And Bothell has about 35k people. That's one heck of a housing development.

Winthrop, WA is the middle of nowehere.
