what is wrong with you lately - you miss the most obvious points

I'm responding to the idea that the GOP has put forth whacko candidates for the last three cycles - the argument is valid with Palin and Trump, but WB then has to stick "The Mormon" in there as if to suggest Romney was somehow comparable to the other two, and he most certainly was not. He was a viable candidate - that's it.

That fact that YOU think Romney is "viable" is my point...

And you dont' because-

he's a Mormon?

That's apparently the reason since of course he was labeled "The Mormon" in that same way we would say "The Child Molester" or "The Witch Doctor"

The last time I checked, no proclaimed atheist has run for President so it's safe to assume that they ALL- Obama included- believe in ghost stories and fairy tales

unless there' some other reason that Romney was no different from Trump or Pailn you aren't sharing with us in your smug-prickedness

I don't think he's saying from an atheist point of view, but maybe from a Christian point of view. There are plenty of Christians in this country that look down on the Mormon faith - hard to argue the historical record on that. Christians, especially the Protestant leaning ones, have a healthy distaste for Mormonism, hence some of the difficulty Romney faced going in.

This. Obama/hilldog implemented a foreign policy akin to W's on steroids. Remember the leftist outrage over Iraq? Libya is Obama/hilldogs Iraq, both actions resulted in a failed ME state. There was a military coup that ousted an elected president in Egypt to essentially get them back to where they were under W. We have boots on the ground in Yemen serving as "advisers" to the Saudi troops there. Oh and we're still in Afghanistan even after getting OBL (Obama's greatest foreign policy accomplishment IMO).

Then there's Syria. That "sad" picture going around of that little boy pulled from the rubble? Yeah that kinda shit happens when you draw a red line and don't enforce it. That's all on Obama, and hilldog gets bonus points for selling buko amounts of guns to the Saudi's that no doubt gets in the hands of these "moderate" rebels all over that region. Thanks Obama.

Then there's still Sudan to talk about. Another success story there.

Obama/hilldog have literally learned nothing from the failed W foreign policy and have continued where he left off...but yet it's somehow touted as great experience by leftists. :dunce:

Urban Dictionary defines "buko" as "a person who is under 5 feet tall, angry, and enjoys telling people off." Sort of like the dwarf in Game of Thrones.

Vietnam may still be communist, but the Southest Asian country is all about business.

Helped by low costs and an eager government, Vietnam is taking over China's role as Asia's hotspot for foreign investment in manufacturing.

While China's economy slows and labor becomes more expensive, Vietnam is becoming to go-to place for manufacturing, making cars for Ford (F) and Toyota Motor (TM) . Offshore capital is expanding now into high-value, high-tech assembly. Hanoi is working on rules to bring in more of it.
I'm sure I posted it here before, but in the apparel industry, Vietnam has invested something like $12B in real estate and infrastructure to lure companies...and it worked.

Romney is not a "viable" candidate for president

In the West the closest thing we've got (in real numbers) to Southern Baptists or nut-ball religious dingbats
is Mormons and Scientologists

Mitt Romney won the Republican nomination. Ergo either evanga-voters didn't care about his religion enough to oppose him or the evanga-voters just aren't that powerful anymore. Either way, if it wasn't an issue in the race for the GOP nomination it wasn't an issue in the general.

Mitt lost in the general election because he was up against an incumbent, the Hispanic voters went for Democrats, and that he was just an all-around ho-hum candidate running an uninspired campaign.
