Not enough to pay the bills Mr. Fiscal Conservative.

I love this ****.

America...wait...I thought they were paying you the taxes...

Europe...well we thought they were paying YOU!

Ireland...We don't really care if we're paid taxes.

Why are tax codes so complicated? You'd think they were written by people who benefit from complicated tax codes or something.

The obvious problem is that corporations love infrastructure, subsidies, AND tax breaks. It's what they're suppose to do. It's not their concern that countries build up massive debt and fail to maintain infrastructure.
It's not the corporations that are responsible for the debt management or the infrastructure maintenance of individual states and nations. That's the job of individual states and nations.

It's not as if Apple was doing anything nefarious or secretive here. Everyone knew that Ireland was purposely collecting at a much lower tax rate that their fellows elsewhere in the EU or in the US, and both the EU and the US knew that.

If you don't like the people writing the laws then vote them out. If the next people write poor laws or if they are too affected by the corporations that benefit by how the laws are written then vote them out. It's not a terribly difficult idea, it's just that voters tend not to be very reliable or diligent.
Well, all you have to do to get people's attention on Apple is to point out that Apple's Apple logo is always White...so they are a racist company. People would vote in/out leaders to fix that issue.

Apple created a fake business with zero employees in Ireland and figured they were set

The EU is starting to crack down on the Ireland loop hole
and stands to collect billions from a whole slew of corporations

Where will they hide their businesses next..?
:suspicious:

ZERO employees?

JFC, does anyone bother to read the stuff they link? :dunce:

From your own linked article:

"Ireland, however, has no interest in enforcing the ruling, which could make the nation less attractive as a corporate location, said Brad Badertscher, a professor at the University of Notre Dame’s Mendoza College of Business. Apple has 6,000 employees there in two subsidiaries."

Apple ingrates. We invade a country just to get rare earths for them, and they stab us in the back by not paying taxes.

Right clizzerd?

Elizabeth Warren gets it. Especially the part about small businesses where we can't afford to hire a team of attorneys and accountants to offshore profits to the Caymans and how much large companies benefit from US markets, stability, and infrastructure. They really like that shit.

It's like she's been reading Kalm's posts....

Yeah I thought about that. It will be something really clever like blah, blah, Fauxahontas....

The hypocrisy is that she supports Clinton... :ohno:

But disagree with her here and you are...

1). Anti fiscal responsibility
2). Anti Main Street
3). Pro crony capitalism

(I guess I could have just said pro crony capitalism.)

If Hildabeast wins and runs for re-election in 2020 (assuming she doesn't cough herself to death or get impeached before then), the Cherokee Charlatan may primary her from the left. That would be worth the price of
