Now, on to the advertisement that most of you saw on ESPN3 this past weekend.
Which way would you run?

Now, what kind of person will that ad attract into the Marines?
Anyone have a guess?
Bueller?
"And when the time comes, they are the first to move towards tyranny, injustice, and despair?"
I'm guessing you'll see tons of well educated peeps just running off to get trained to battle goat herders in some barren wasteland in order to prop up some Muslin regime.
Or maybe that ad will attract some folks that would first try to decide exactly whether we need to put our boys into some far off shithole for no reason.
Yeah...let's see. Shall I go into a tech field at the local ITT school, pursue my college degree without the possibility of bullets flying over my head (DSU is out), or should I choose door B, where I can get shot at, and shoot back, in a conflict that will surely be as worthwhile as Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Iraq, Afghanistan, and those other places that remind me that I will be fighting, and dying, for the good guys.
Here's an article that sums up some thinking about that ad.

Of course the punchline to all of this is that our Military is currently NOT helping defeat tyranny at all. It is a ruse...and no one should be falling for that sales pitch.
In fact, we are actively supporting, and dying for, some of the most vile regimes on Earth...all while causing a huge humanitarian disaster. Why isn't that being advertised?
