Slower DE pronunciation of both farther and further: futher (rhymes with mother)

I was away enough years to critique my dad's native SlowD accent and he hates it.

Antenna = antanna (rhymes with Santana)
Kyle Busch = Kyle Boosh (rhymes with swoosh)
Martin Truex = Martin True Axe

The other sign of a true Slower Delawarean is the ability to pronounce the following word in one syllable: Harrington (sounds like harnt :D )

Also, on mainland Maryland, Laurel = lorril
In Slower DE, Laurel = larl (like Carl)

Also, Lewes (Louis) has already been discussed. Leipsic is Lip Sick.

Hocker's is good to go. Used to eat their grub when hanging out with one of my surfing buddies in Millville.
My wife and I go to Salisbury for Chinese or Japanese. We probably like Ginger House best. East Moon has good food but no atmosphere. Ikebana probably has the best sushi, but it's pricey.
I just roll over. 8-)

I find myself even lapsing into the LSD mumble once in a while. One of my buddies up here always calls me out on it. Definitely comes out when I'm downair.

The contraction "ain't" is fully acceptable in Western Sussex. Even teachers use it.

You're saying it's not acceptable somewhere else? That must suck.

I hope so. I think it's a tough spot for the Eagles. I say Bears 20, Eagles 16. Hope I'm wrong.

Also, Mispillion is pronounced Miss Apillion, not Miss Pillion. I think the name is Missaspelled.

Another one the old timers say is Cape Hen-a-lopen. They like adding an extra "a" in the words around here. :D

Conversely, Wentz is incredible. He really has a good sense of what the D is showing and makes the necessary adjustments on the fly. Not too many rookies I've seen with that capability. Fun to watch. :notworthy:

If his receivers didn't have the dropsies and if the refs hadn't missed an obvious PI, this game could have gotten completely out of hand.

The clips were from the rookie camp special that Gruden does with every 1st Rd QB pick.

But yes, lots of knob slobbing. And not just Gruden. Everybody but Ditka picked the Eagles out of like 7 experts in the Countdown show.

I'll take knob slobbing over Sam Bradford.

When has Gruden not offered to slob any player's knob? He loves every player. Even the worst players, he finds something nice to say about him at some point.
Actually one of the reasons I like him as a commentator on MNF. Better to listen to IMO than Chris "Here's A Guy" Collinsworth on SNF

Agreed ^
That 40 yard NO CALL tackle of the wide out was an unacceptable no call
and the TD pass DROP was seriously D grade wide out stuff

and

Wentz is showing that NOBODY will out work him in the game preparation category
