I don't troll. If you are going to say you don't want to vote for Clinton because she lies and/or misleads you really ought to think some about the extent to which the alternative lies and/or misleads. And you ought to honestly ask yourself if he would be any less likely to lie and/or mislead in a given situation than she would be.

I think that if you're intellectually honest you are going to say he's at LEAST as likely to lie and/or mislead in a given situation as she would be.

And to me it's pretty clear that he's MORE likely to lie and/or mislead in a given situation than she is. To me if you're voting on the basis of which is more honest or which is less dishonest you should be voting for HIllary.

http://nypost.com/2016/09/18/black-vote ... -new-poll/
Trump saw a 16.5 percentage-point increase in backing from African-American voters in a Los Angeles Times/University of Southern California tracking poll, up from 3.1 percent on Sept. 10 to 19.6 percent through Friday.

Meanwhile, the same poll showed Clinton’s support among that group plummeting from 90.4 percent on Sept. 10 to 71.4 percent.

Clinton’s nearly 20-point crash began Sunday, said Dan Schnur of USC. Sunday was the day Clinton was recorded collapsing while entering a Secret Service van at a 9/11 event.

I hate defending her, but she was quoting a black reverend to a black audience, so it's kind of normal in a way.

Yeah, I kind of agree. She is quoting someone and using accent for effect.
The problem here is that she gets a pass when very few other white people would.

When I quote MLK, I don't try and sound like a black, Southern preacher from the 1950s. :twocents:

You don't think either. The Democrats knew just as well as everybody else that independents decide elections and that Hillary didn't have them. They'd rather lose with a corporatist than win with a populist. :ohno:

Hillary lies about her health, the the time of day, things she says on the record, things she's seen and been part of, etc.. She lies about things that couldn't possible be true (her namesake, enlisting in the USMC, etc..) she's just full of shit. She's also contributed to the death of an Ambassador.

Trump is a bombastic, loud mouth real estate developer.

Huge difference, John.

Trump lies constantly. He lies about everything. He lies about positions he's taken in the past in order to argue that he has "good judgment." Stuff like saying he was opposed to invading Iraq and implying that he would not have withdrawn from Iraq or tried to take Gaddafi out of power when we have clear, unambiguous audio and/or video evidence indicating the opposite.

Again: At least be honest with yourself is you won't be honest with me. Ask yourself honestly if you think Trump would hesitate to lie if he were President and saw it as being to advantage to do so. This thing of acting like there is some kind of "honesty" advantage on the part of Trump as opposed to Clinton is absolutely ridiculous. Trump is not an honest man. In fact he's an extremely dishonest man.

If you want to vote for a nut job to be in that powerful position for other reasons, I guess that's what you'll do. But it's ridiculous to say you choose Trump over Hillary based on which is more honest or less dishonest. Trump is as dishonest as it gets.

Independents are a factor but they do not decide elections any more than Republicans and Democrats do. Romney beat Obama among Independents by 50 to 45% last time. Obama won because, in spite of some weird articles I've seen that say there are more independents than either Republicans or Democrats, a plurality of voters were Democrats (38% Democrats, 32% Republican, 29% Independents). Obama lost among both Republicans and Independents but easily won the election.

I am confident that you will end up voting for Hillary. The reason is that you have an Ivy League IQ and, in spite of your playfulness on this board, you fully realize that it would be ridiculous to vote to put something like Donald Trump into that position.

Well, you might end up voting for third or fourth party. But I'm optimistic that, given your intelligence level, you will end up saying that all other things aside we cannot end up with Donald Trump as President.

As long as you don't do it because you think Trump has an "honesty" advantage. Or you don't do it because you think he's more qualified. Or you don't do it because you think he's healthy mentally. On and on.

John, never overestimate the value of an Ivy League IQ, whatever that means. I am a NeverHillary guy who still plans to vote for GJ, although he had another gaffe today. If that keeps up, I may end up going the 89 route and leaving my POTUS ballot blank.

Or writing myself in! 8-)

Since I know GJ won't win I don't care how many gaffes he makes. His policies are a joke anyway. It's only worth voting for him as a middle finger to the other two parties. We don't like ya Gary, we just hate the others.
