New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie could face impeachment following the early testimony in the Bridgegate scandal trial, according to NBC 4 New York. Unnamed members of the New Jersey Assembly are reported to be looking into how to proceed after prosecutors this week said Christie knew about the lane-closing scheme on the George Washington Bridge in 2013. A committee chairman said “clearly” Christie could face a charge of obstruction of justice. The chances, the legislator said, were about 50-50 that the assembly would pursue Christie’s impeachment. That decision would be up to Democratic Speaker Vincent Prieto, followed by a process initiated by the assembly’s judiciary committee and several other votes.

I think they'll wait at least until the court case is resolved one way or the other. Prosecutors can claim whatever they want, but it still needs to be proven.

I love this country. One guy closes a lane on a bridge and faces impeachment. Another lady exposes tens of thousands of classified emails to our enemies and is the leading candidate for President.

You can't make this shit up.

If you think Marco is fake, I'd LOVE to hear your thoughts on John Boehner. Having heard both of them speak in person, I can tell you Marco does NOT come across as fake....he comes across as extremely intelligent, thoughtful and outspoken--with some terrific ideas on how to fix the broken parts of our government. Boehner comes across as a big government shill, stiff, and full of nothing but talking point soundbites.
Yeah, not really a Boehner fan at all - he's like the GOP's answer to Harry Reid (who thankfully, btw, is out of the Majority leader role. But, because he must have naked pictures of every Democrat in the Senate, is somehow going to still be the Minority Leader in the new Senate).

I truthfully could hear more from Rubio, have only seen him in spots. The GOP primary is pretty good about exposing these candidates to death, so I'm sure I'll get a chance.

But frankly, de-railing the Hillary express is only going to happen with a significant move by the GOP, and going with an all-minority ticket (all Hispanic with a woman as well) might be the only way to do it. Just as there was a groundswell to elect Obama in '08 due to his race (and clearly it was a large factor) there will be a similar groundswell to elect a woman. Hillary is clearly electable and barring a slip-up in the primaries looks to be in a good position, so the GOP would need to change the game with their ticket. Rand Paul may or may not be a good candidate, but he'd lose straight up against Hillary. The electorate will not defeat the best woman candidate they've ever had (and the only one to head a ticket) by going with a white male who some still believe is from the kooky end of the far right (accurate or not).
Looks like you're right so far..
You matter. Unless you multiply yourself by c squared. Then you energy.

Because indictments are necessary for impeachment? Clinton, cough cough.
