It appears that Ausmus is losing faith in some of the veteran starters down the stretch. I just saw that Buck Farmer will start tomorrow in Game 1 against Cleveland. That's after the three rookies got the nod for this series.
So basically the 2 free agents brought in this year, and Anibal Sanchez, are riding the pine.
Miguel Cabrera went over the 100 RBI mark last night. His power numbers are better this year than the last two injury prone years. Kind of nice to be able to plug a player in year after year (with a few exceptions) who will bat .300, hit 30 home runs and knock in 100 runs.

Hall of Fame?
Real close right now. .320 career avg with solid power numbers is pretty strong.

Cleveland/Cubs would be better from the loser standpoint. At least then someone would break a long string of losing. Red Sox have long since shed that label.

And still a tight 3 team battle in the NL.
Playoff baseball starts now.
I think the Giants well edge out the Mets for the last WC spot, even though they haven't been able to close games this month. Even year so that is definitely in the Giants favor.
Oh and fuck the Cubs. No one outside of their fan base truly gives a shit about their WS losing streak.

O's take second in a row in Toronto; not an easy feat. Up a game and half on the Tigers (one in the loss column) and tied with Jays for the two wildcards with three to play, on the road at the death star.

And despite the Yankees about to sweep the Red Sox tonight, their season ended with the O's win.
It's time to play spoiler.
And the Tigers get to play a hot young team in Atlanta over the weekend. Also the last series at Turner Field. A lot of potential landmines in this one.
Makeup game against Cleveland is scheduled for Monday if needed. I hope it is needed.

The Red Sox Clinched already
None of the Yankees Red Sox games mattered
I'll explain how this works
The red sox have a 5 game lead with 4 games left to play
You use maths and stuff and turns out sh!t is over
