So I'm not all that savvy when it comes to the latest trends in identity politics and PC stuff. I usually try to ignore it when I can-

But I saw a couple references or articles on it in the last couple weeks. One was I believe a literature critic or someone from either WaPo, WSG or NYT talking about how authors are being criticized for writing fiction with characters outside their own cultures (and of course those cultures would be non white)

Then I saw some discussion on dreadlocks and how white people shouldn't wear them since they are primarily an African thing (although there is some evidence that the Celts, Picts, and possibly Vikings also twisted their hair into "snakes")

What's the take on this? I'm primarily interested in if anyone here agrees with the folks that are suggesting that whites should stay in their own cultural lanes.

Personally, I think these people are racist as fuck for suggesting this and there's some pretty easy ways to refute the logic, but I'm curious

My biggest issue is that a white male (particularly a disadvantaged one) does not have all the state and federal funding and programs and preferential college selection and preferential hiring available to them that a minority male does. I'm not saying I like more Government; just that if you're going to do it, make it fair. Our country has made the decision that poor white men are not worthy of any help but everyone else is. If you are an intelligent minority male in this country and can't get yourself accepted to a great college and to a great job with any Fortunate 500 company, then you just aren't trying. Everything has been set up to aid you, give you preference, and give you the nod over more qualified white applicants.

Just sticking to facts instead of hyperbole.

If this was true, why does my wife have over 65k in student loans and she graduated undergrad with a 3.87
Where are all of the smart black men in the corporate world?
If you are lucky, you may have 2 or 3 in the top levels. And most of them are gay as hell.
