Rangers/Red Sox for me. Blue Jays will be tough, especially at their building (who knew Canadians could be beer throwing/racist tirade fans?).

I swear I voted before the game started.89Hen wrote:Kinda crazy how one sided the voting is so far for this one, and the NLDS is almost evenly split.

As Joe Torre used to say:
In a short series GAME 2 is the game that matters...
IN the ALDS I happen to agree - the team that wins Game 2 will win these series

Re: ALDS
I'm already regretting my choice - the Rangers look as passive as they did the last time the Blue Jays bat tossed them right out of the playoffs. Hamels was doing so serious 2009 channeling there yesterday as opposed to the 2008 version of himself. And the Indians looked loose and excited last night as the Sox, outside of Poppy, looked tense. I might go 0 for the ALDS.

I have Indians vs Rangers. Not looking good on the second choice at the moment.

Not for choke artists of the Rangers' caliber.89Hen wrote:It can all change with one game.AshevilleApp wrote:I have Indians vs Rangers. Not looking good on the second choice at the moment.

SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.

Am I the only one who hates all these champagne, goggle-wearing, self-indulgent celebrations? This is the third time the Blue Jays have acted like morons in a week. I'm not picking on just the BJ's, they just were the first to get there. I honestly hope somebody loses an eye from a champagne cork or cuts their throwing hand on a beer can. What asshats.

I can live with it when making the playoffs. It's a long season.SDHornet wrote:No I don't get it either. Celebrate winning the division? Sure why not. Celebrate Wild card? Meh. Celebrate DS win? Meh. Celebrate CS? Absolutely. And of course celebrate the WS.
I can live with winning the League Pennant or WS. Divisional or WC wins are a joke. There is no formal recognition for these wins (title or trophy).

Re: ALDS
WC win I can understand, they're ACTUALLY making the playoffs.
The Divisional win I can get because it was Texas.

NHL, you go 6 or 7 games beating the shit out of another team and at the end of the clinching game you shake hands with them, pat them on the chest and probably pop a beer. This MLB celebration is just moronic.

The Yankees had the Red Sox and the Orioles celebrate in the visitor clubhouse of Yankee Stadium this year. The Yankees had to foot the bill for cleaning each time.89Hen wrote:NHL, you go 6 or 7 games beating the shit out of another team and at the end of the clinching game you shake hands with them, pat them on the chest and probably pop a beer.
