I'm sure he did but I'm also guessing his assistant was White. What I'm talking about is that, every Black history month, you see this list of stuff Blacks supposedly invented. Then when you look up the details it's not true. A Black guy invented the X Ray machine. A Black guy invented the air conditioner. A Black guy invented the elevator. A Black guy invented the traffic signal. And, of course, a Black guy invented the gas mask.

None of it is true. You have to come off as a heel and killjoy when you point it out but it is what it is. What you inevitably find is that a Black guy invented some particular version of whatever it is they're talking about. And the truth is that the world would be pretty much like it is with respect to technological advances like that if there had never been any Black people. Well, except that ultimately all of us trace our ancestry to Africa to start with so if there weren't ever any Black people to start with there wouldn't be any people.

Lets say a black person in 1920 invented a new form of air conditioning, what was the likelihood of this person obtaining a Patton from the U.S. Government. I think this happened more than you think. I don't think people were will to give a black person credit for an invention they would make them wealthy. Just my opinion.

I don't think it happened as often as you think it did. You didn't need to be there in person to apply for a patent so how would the Patent Office know the race of the applicant? I'm sure it did happen from time to time but it wasn't endemic by the US government.

What was more endemic, obviously, was the access of Blacks to real research jobs and, even then, to be in a position of leadership in those jobs to get to be the person who puts their name on the patent application. There's no doubt that there was a huge impact from racism at the time that would've limited the options of Black inventors or the like. I just don't think the Patent Office was where that was happening.

CID, I work a couple of blocks from Capitol Hill in a building shared with a large hotel that hosts conventions for advocacy groups (2-3 a week usually) marching on the mall or lobbying Congress. I have been here a year and have seen advocacy groups for just about every variation of human being under the sun except one - straight white men.

That's where the country is headed. You can show pride in and fight for whatever you are, as long as it's not being an average straight white man. That would be racist, sexist, genderist, etc.

We are the devil, apparently, and need to be punished and wiped off the face of the planet.

You mean the *timing of Christmas wasn't based on Jesus' birth. Norse and Celtic holidays were supplanted by Roman ones in mainland Europe and Britain as a part of the assimilation process. The Nordic and northern Germanic tribes were never assimilated by the Roman Empire but their holidays like Yule still corresponded to the midwinter solstices and therefore also lined up with the Celtic ones. Later, those northern areas that had not been absorbed by the Roman Empire before its fall were later reached by Christian missionaries that had a fairly easy time of converting the Danes, etc since Aha! All our holidays line up!

Mostly Xmas and Easter are the ones left since we aren't an agrarian society anymore, but many other holidays are out there like Samhain - All Hallows' Eve

Jesus is an invented name that is only about 500 years old for a person who existed 2000 years ago.
It is a myth, if you study that bible from the 1st half to the 2nd half you will not come to this sun-god myth.
We read from the 2nd half to the 1st half after drinking the kool-aid supplied by the "doctrines of demons" of the western church.
Having said that, I do believe in that Messiah, and the God of the Tanakh, as revealed in the Tanakh
