Email hacking
Can anyone tell me how we know for sure the Russians are behind the email hacking of the DNC, but we couldn't figure out if they compromised Hillary's server? Did The Hildabeast get the Varsity squad and everyone else got the JV?

Is it just spin, or is there merit.SeattleGriz wrote:Can anyone tell me how we know for sure the Russians are behind the email hacking of the DNC, but we couldn't figure out if they compromised Hillary's server? They can see that the software used is similar to the software used by Russians in the past. But apparently that software can be easily downloaded from the internet.SeattleGriz wrote:Cmon fuckers. Re: Email hacking
The origin of the DNC hacks was a server in Biysk. I think that's the most evidence that has been released to the public. I don't think that implicates Russia 100%... because it could have been the attacks originated from somewhere else and went through the servers in Russia. But, it also sounds like the intelligence community has more evidence of its origin that isn't public. I don't think there's much of a reason to believe it did not come from Russia.
On the other hand, I don't believe there's any way that Clinton... or anyone else... could categorically say that no one accessed her servers. Very difficult to prove a negative. And, if someone did access them... it certainly would have made it easier for the rest of the hacks to occur (would have been plenty of info that would have helped with DNC passwords, Podesta's passwords, etc). I think it's likely that someone did access her servers.

Im going with the "they aren't sure" option with the government.Skjellyfetti wrote:The origin of the DNC hacks was a server in Biysk. This administration has no qualms about leaking and revealing classified methods/capabilities (see the latest from NBC how we are planning a cyber retaliation against Russia)
If we had any real evidence the Russian government was behind this you can bet your ass it would be on full display (and burning numerous intel assets in the process)

To be clear, there are and will likely remain only two parties who can release the full 55k: State and us. Nobody else will have them. Gowdy will only end up with what’s relevant to his committee, which won’t grow that much beyond what he has. Probably not get anywhere close to 500.
