Speaking of coins, I spent over 2.5 hours yesterday dropping quarters into a coin counting machine. Rolled coins.
A bank guy, around 1:30pm, after 10 minutes of putting coins into the machine, joked that the bank closed at 4pm. Looked him straight in the eye and said, "Yeah, we'll be running up against that." He didn't realize that I had a bunch of other containers in the car.
At 3:55pm, the last of the quarters went through that machine.
Let's just say one of my uncles had a thing for collecting state quarters. No harm, no foul, but those coins are worth diddly. No dealer would take them for any price.
Anyway, it was an interesting way to spend an afternoon.
No Reagan coins spotted.
And no, the bank didn't charge anything to a customer...thank you credit unions.
