Vote Switching in Texas?!?

Post by SuperHornet »

I'm seeing reports on FB of issues with the computerized voting machines conducting early voting in Texas. The big issue is that the machines are rampantly switching Trump votes to Clinton votes, even with some ballots that were voted as a straight GOP ticket. However, these are NOT MSM sites nor even Fox News, so the reliability may be somewhat suspect.

About the only substantiated issue, outside of uneven enforcement of Texas' new Voter ID law, is the claim that the GOP candidate for governor is somehow being left off the ballot for SOME voters. That was in an MSNBC report.

Has anyone heard anything more substantial that would either confirm or deny this? And why Texas? That's always been a down-the-line conservative state (except for maybe Houston). It makes no sense to me....

True, it was reported that voting party lines did not always follow the correct vote for each party. The machines have been fixed and all votes are now switched to Democrat votes. ;)

LBJ's revenge!

By virtue of the votes of 200 dead Mexicans, he "won" the Senate election in '48. :coffee:

Clarification: It was the Democratic primary, but that was all that mattered in Texas in 1948. Good old Duval and Jim Wells Counties!

I guess somebody is spreading rumors in case Clinton somehow wins Texas. Not likely but the polls are showing, incredibly, that Texas may be in play. So there's a need to sew seeds of doubt in case the unthinkable happens.

Mysteriously, liberal skepticism of Diebold and electronic voting machines has evaporated.

No it hasn't. Everybody knows any middle-schooler could hack them.

If there is any gaming of the machines in Texas it will work the other way. :coffee:

Here is straight from your liberal fact checker, Snopes, per my joke above.

The County of Chambers in Texas did temporary switch from voting machines to emergency paper ballots while awaiting a software upgrade to fix a problem with the former, but that issue affected both parties equally:

On Monday, October 24, 2016, at the beginning of Early Voting it was brought to the attention of the County Clerk, Heather H. Hawthorne, that the Straight Party vote for both the Republicans and Democrats, did not automatically select one race on each ballot. The error was caused in programming by ES&S (Election Systems and Software Inc.), the vendor who programs the election software used in Chambers County. Immediately, Hawthorne contacted ES&S and advised them of the issue. Hawthorne then contacted the Secretary of State's office, the office overseeing the elections in Texas, and was informed to create emergency paper ballots to be used until the problem could be fixed.

ES&S, based in Dallas, informed Hawthorne they would send software to correct the issue. Today, Hawthorne will be in the polling locations to install the corrected software to the votronic machines. Hawthorne is confident that all machines should be ready by the end of today.

Texas is DOMINATED by conservatives in the Political landscape

Republicans control all statewide Texas offices
Both houses of the state legislature
and have a vast majority in the Texas congressional delegation

This makes Texas one of the most Republican states in the U.S
Q: Name something that offends Republicans?
A: The actual teachings of Jesus
