Clinton will get out of this. They already found classified e-mails on her server. The only thing they could find is a few more. This may hurt her in the election a bit, but not enough to keep her from being the HBIC.
While it was exciting to think that they finally nailed her, I don't think they will. It's interesting that the Clinton Campaign is demanding that the information be released. I think that is a sign that they know nothing other than a few more classified e-mails are there. And there is no magic number threshold that will put her in jail.


On the other hand, if they find e-mails that show a coverup or other behaviors that affected the investigation, then they might have something. But she can't be that stupid. You don't send e-mails discussing coverups of an e-mail investigation. But then again, criminals are stupid.

It's up to you, Julian. Bring on the grand finale.

I am almost ready to conclude that Comey is an evil genius partisan Republican given the way he's handled this whole thing. First of all he declined to recommend charges while saying a bunch of critical stuff. That meant the HIllary would be the nominee but would be damaged whereas if he'd said he was recommending charges the Democrats almost certainly would've tabbed Sanders and Trump would be getting curb stomped right now.Then this.

But nah. I think he's trying to do the best he can.

All that said, all that's going on right now is that the FBI found noticed that there were e mails between Huma Abedin and Hillary Clinton on it. In fact it might even be that it just potentially has e mails between those two. I frankly don't think Comey should've said anything unless and until he had more of an indication of something going on than that.

But he did and it hurts Clinton, no doubt. The stuff that keeps happening continues to make it possible that we could end up with a mentally ill President.

As I said in the other thread this hurts Clinton, no doubt. But at this point there's no basis for saying any "dirt" has been exposed or anything. They don't even know if they're going to see any information that is relevant much less incriminating. All Comey said is that they're going to look at the information to see.

Now look at this closing paragraph of Comey's letter:

Although the FBI cannot yet assess whether or not this material may be significant, and I cannot predict how long it will take us to complete this additional work, I believe it is important to update your Committees about our efforts in light of my previous testimony.

In other words, there's no indication at all in that letter that anything significant has been found. That doesn't change the fact that this is going to hurt Clinton. But it is the truth of the matter. There is absolutely nothing about what Comey said in the letter to indicate that there is any information that would change his previous conclusion.

All that's happened is that they noted that Huma Abedin's used that laptop to engage in e mail exchanges with Clinton. That's it. What's probably going to happen is that the FBI is going to end up saying that nothing has changed with regard to its conclusions. But the fact that it happened 11 days before an election when there is no time to sort things out is going to hurt Clinton.

Hopefully she'll still win so we won't have a dangerously mentally ill person in the President's position.

If this ends up being more of the same then someone should have Comey's head. There was plenty of reasons to bring charges the first time. Imho. And if not like he said then he better have something or he should have kept his mouth shut

If Huma or Cheryl had sent classified info through the Clinton server, she's toast. I can't imagine a way that isn't illegal and HRC isn't in some way culpable.
