Remember when people were saying that the talk of a Texas secession was just showing how unhinged the Republican right was?

I file this under the "stupidest ideas ever" folder. :coffee:

Funny thing is the northern rural parts of the state want to become their own state.

The main problem with this bogus Calexit idea is that there won't be any broad support for it. It'll be confined to LA/SF, and perhaps a portion of urban Sacramento. San Diego won't go for it, and neither will the Central Valley; both of those areas are perennially GOP areas. There's also the problem of Jefferson; we may see THAT secession first....

San Diego is solid blue these days....purple at best. SD wouldn't hesitate to jump on the calexit train.

FUSH, just leave the union, we dont want that long slender eyesore on the left coast trying to infringe on freedoms the way they do. Just unbolt that POS and float it out towards Guam or Thailand somewhere.

That's a real disappointment given how large the Navy and Marine Corps figure in the local economy....

Send all the Calexit folks to Baja California, and let all the illegal aliens replace them in the USA. At least the Illegals want to be here.

Having spent, when totaled, about a year sleeping on the floor of the Mojave about 20 miles from Joshua Tree, I have never understood the allure of it, unless you are a rock climber. It is a yawner surrounded by meth labs, Marines, and Palm Springs. Same deal with Death Valley.

Agree with everything else though. California (the physical place) is incredible. It's a shame it's filled with Californians.

When Clemson enters Death Valley by running down the hill behind the end zone, it's the best entrance in sports.

"self determination" "independence" overbearing federal government. :?

Sounds like Cali has been invaded by a buncha right-wing, militia loving, confederate flag waving racists.
