Lets talk about Mormons...
How many of you have
1) Been to a Mormon's house (family) for dinner
2) How many of you have worked directly in the same company with a Mormon (as a direct coworker)
3) How many of you have talked politics with a Mormon
4) How many of you have done business with a Mormon run company
I'm curious
Because I think we've got some folks here who might be confused

I had a good friend from college who was/is Mormon. Good guy. What do you have against Mormons?
Granted, the topic of magic underwear never came up, so I might be missing something.

Re: Lets talk about Mormons...
A high school/college mormon friend "unfriended" me on facebook last year because, as a mutual friend told me, I manufacture and promote a substance she (and her religion?) does not agree with.
Does that count?
I also tried to give her the business in high school, but only as a "see, told you I could" kinda thing. I failed. Does that count?

Not for dinner, but I've picked up some hay and taken the boys to look at new born calves when they were young.
2) How many of you have worked directly in the same company with a Mormon (as a direct coworker)
Check. And I've had them work for me.
3) How many of you have talked politics with a Mormon
Check. I've had epic discussions on how the homos are ruining the world.
4) How many of you have done business with a Mormon run company
Does Pepsi count?
My take.
The women run some of the best households around. Truly amazing at organization, gardening, supporting the kids, etc.
There's a subtle and sometimes not so subtle arrogance with a number of the men folk.

Had a Mormon room-mate for 2 years. Broke bread many times, talked politics many times.

A friend of mine in high school was a great jack Mormon. His dad owned a Ford dealership and was a bishop at the local temple. He was going to attend BYU, but he got busted for pot and booze the summer after graduation and went to Bozeman State instead.

They aren't any weirder than any of the other Abrahamic cults. Any they raise some of the most gorgeous women you'll see anywhere - that's the bait.

Um...Mormons may invest in Pepsi but they don't own Pepsi (or PepsiCo).

He was asking if a company that isn't owned by Mormons counts as a Mormon owned company? Da fuq?Grizalltheway wrote:I think that's why he was asking if it counts.Ibanez wrote:![]()

It's a publicly-held company, and if Mormons invest in said company, it means they technically own part of it.Ibanez wrote:He was asking if a company that isn't owned by Mormons counts as a Mormon owned company? Da fuq?Grizalltheway wrote:

Re: Lets talk about Mormons...
I know a couple of Mormon lawyers and a Mormon judge. Very polite, no cussing, very fair types. Can't say I've talked politics or underwear styles with any of them.
And I've stayed at a lot of Marriotts over the years.

Re: Lets talk about Mormons...
No shit. I even said that Mormons might be investors. However, saying something is owned by Mormons implies a majority ownership or complete ownership. I've got shares of local banks but I wouldn't say I own the bank.Grizalltheway wrote:It's a publicly-held company, and if Mormons invest in said company, it means they technically own part of it.Ibanez wrote: He was asking if a company that isn't owned by Mormons counts as a Mormon owned company?
