On that note, wasn't this supposed to be the year for the 76ers?

The year for what? Not tanking? Yes, they aren't tanking this year. No one predicted them to be great this year, just getting better, which they are. Let's see how they look when Simmons comes back, but obviously the early view on Embiid is fantastic.

And the Sixers actually won a road game last night. And they're almost two months ahead of last year's win total. Certainly positive momentum for both teams.

Meanwhile, the Phillies just signed some old reliever from the Blue Jays. Yippeee!!! :ohno:

Crazy life.
Rick Lovato, a 4 year LS at Old Dominion, was in the Bears training camp in the summer of 2015 but was cut on the final day. He got picked up for the final two game of the season by the Packers when their long time snapper got hurt. He also played in their two playoff games.

He was kept by the Packers in summer camp but was cut on the last day when they determined the original LS was good enough to go. Back home to wait for a phone call.

Phone rings in November and he plays two games for the Redskins when their long time snapper tweaked his back lifting weights. Got to play on Thanksgiving Day against the Cowboys. Got released when the original LS was healthy. Back home to wait again.

Philly's LS hurts wrist yesterday against the Redskins. Gets call Sunday night. Signs a deal with the Eagles today.

There are 32 jobs in his profession in the US. He has a foothold on #33.

Try 9 on for size. :thumb:

But the Metro is stupid good right now. Current win streaks...

Flyers - 9
Blue Jackets - 7
Penguins - 6
Capitals - 5

The Flyers are hanging on to the last WC in the East right now. They would be in second place in the Western Conference. :suspicious:

Looks like the streak is over but that Metropolitan Division is insane
Penguins 45 Pts - 32 games
Rangers 45 Pts - 33 games
Blue Jackets - 42 Pts - 28 games
Caps - 41 Pts - 30 games
Flyers - 41 Pts - 33 games

Only other teams in the NHL with at least 41 pts
Atlantic
Canadiens - 44 Pts - 31 games

Central
Blackhawks - 46 Pts - 33 games

Pacific
None

Unless things really change over the 2nd half of the year, looks like the Metropolitan will get that 5th team in and playing in the Atlantic in the playoffs.

Still not sure how this happens. Five games behind some teams. That's a week and half of games. WTF?

Today is a day I'm rooting against the Eagles. A loss suits my two favorite teams, the Eagles and the Flaccos, the best.

After a bad INT on the first drive, Wentz goes toe to toe with the Baltimore Flaccos.

Down 27-20, he drives the Eagles down for a TD on the <2-minute drill. Eagles go for two and fail on a slightly tipped ball.

Ravens escape 27-26. Great game.

What was with the two 2-point conversions?
The first one made it 11-10 but made no sense to go for it. The second, I guess, was to win since they were on the road?

50 mph wind gusts. Tucker was somehow nailing his kicks, but it's also his home stadium, but the flags on the posts were straight out and the posts were swaying all game.

No. No it wasn't. I hearby apply to be the Ravens next O Coordinator. Playoffs on the line and you throw in the red zone up 10 late in the 4th? :ohno: :ohno: :ohno:
