Down 27-20, he drives the Eagles down for a TD on the <2-minute drill. Eagles go for two and fail on a slightly tipped ball.

Ravens escape 27-26. Great game.
What was with the two 2-point conversions?
The first one made it 11-10 but made no sense to go for it. The second, I guess, was to win since they were on the road?
Absolutely. Eagles are out of the playoffs anyway. Why not go for the win? Merrill Reese and Mike Quick agreed!
Eagles showed a lot of heart today.

What this year could have been with two offensive tackles and receivers who catch a couple of balls.

I liked the outcome of this game.
My New York Facebook friends were all like "Yeah!" and "Go Giants!" leading up to the game, but then after the game started and it had ended they were all like "____________" and "____________"
As always, I'm sure if I go into any of the local delis and ask about the game, there will be some twats who will be like "Oh, the Giants were playing last night? I had no idea."

"Local delis"? I thought you were a farmer out in the sticks? Does NY have rural delis all over the place or are you just a liar?

This is New York. Every single town has at least one deli and three pizza shops. And they're all fantastic.

Why don't you call up a NY deli, order some pepperoni, cheese, dough, and sauce shipped to STL, and the next time you're making your wife a sammie, whip up your own?

Just trying to help.

Yep, mostly realy deal, locally owned places.

This place, which I frequent quite a bit, is about 3 miles from the distillery. It's gotten some press through the years. Great owners, they come to my bar quite a bit. We serve three of their meats on our meat/cheese plate at the bar. My neighbor takes his deer there to get processed every year. Should be getting my share of venizon this weekend.

Of course we have the Domino's, Pizza Hut, Papa John's, etc. But none of them are close enough to deliver to my house. There are two other local pizza/deli joints that will deliver to my house, which I've certainly taken advantage of when the wife/kids are gone and I realize I'm too drunk to try and cook something on my own other than hot dogs or grilled cheese.

The cheap shot hit from Everett probably sealed that decision. The Eagles should retaliate on Cousins next year. If I was Pederson, the entire Redskin offense would have broken legs and knees at the end of the first game.

He'll prolly just settle for getting swept in both games again

I'm two back for the season in my pick 'me pool. Went with the Eagles and Skins today. Need a few more upsets too as I'm sure the leader went chalk.

Yeah, maybe that and a few more wins will actually get them in the playoffs next year.

Flyers - 41 Pts - 33 games

Only other teams in the NHL with at least 41 pts
Atlantic
Canadiens - 44 Pts - 31 games

Central
Blackhawks - 46 Pts - 33 games

Pacific
None

Unless things really change over the 2nd half of the year, looks like the Metropolitan will get that 5th team in and playing in the Atlantic in the playoffs.
And with a loud thud, the Blue Jackets 16 game winning streak comes to a thudding end against the Caps, 5-0. Thud.
What a word; thud.

Hey, so why don't we have a dedicated NHL thread?

The Avalanche are already playing for the lottery, so I won't be posting in it if you make one. Just FYI.
