So why not just issue a blanket declaration of war, make it all legal and shit and let the little people get their snouts in the war pig trough too?

We put far more brazillions into the UN than we obtain in benefits. The "peacekeeping" services are a joke, UNESCO is hopelessly politicized, and UNICEF does bupkes for US children.
