We'll probably never know because the media barely covered it. It wasn't a "hate crime". There's no hate involved when you torture a 10 year old boy in front of his parents.

It probably would have made more news if the cops arresting the negro made him when bleed when they took him down, especially if they were white.

I guess you didn't hear. He didn't do it because he doesn't like pizza. Couldn't have been his DNA on the crust.

That's really the defense now? I could believe it. His lawyer was on TV the first day saying he was such a nice guy. The interviewer countered with his rap sheet and lawyer said they were all wrongful arrests and convictions.

Shooting at AME church in Charleston, SC

The Black Panthers said they were coming to Charleston. Local black leaders told them to stay away. Very good to see this.

I hate seeing news articles talking about the names of streets and buildings, etc... That have to do with the Confederacy. As if las year we named all these things. It's a distraction from the real story.

The rabble is trying to protest at the services in Chucktown. None of the locals are having it. Joe Riley passed an emergency ordnance to keep protesters at least 300 feet away from any memorial or funeral service. The ordnance expires in about 90 days, I think.

That's because Charleston, for all it's warts, is showing why its so classy. We don't need the hate. Riley and Sumney both passed those ordinances this week. I know some guys from the Patriot Guard are going to try and use American Flags to also block the protesters.

Sen. Pinckney is being laid to rest today and his funeral is going on right now. POTUS, FLOTUS and VPOTUS are in attendance and Obama is about to give the eulogy. It's streaming online and I have to say, the services of an AME church has so much energy. Catholic funerals are somber affairs, but this music is lively.

Hopefully Obama doesn't put too much politics into this. But i'm not holding my breath. :ohno:

Dylan Roof gets the death penalty. I'm guessing this is one time when anti-death-penalty, jail-is-for-rehabilitation-and-not-punishment liberals start foaming at the mouth and want a public boiling in oil.

He should serve life in prison for what he did.

Nobody telling them to stay away? What a surprise.

I'm guessing Sharpton can't find his way to this airport either. No point in getting black victims riled up about black shooters.

I'm not opposed to the death penalty as long as it isn't carried out by the State. They can't do anything right and persist in executing innocent people.

Remand him to the custody of the victim's family to do with as they see fit. If they want to do the christian thing and be all forgiving that is their decision. If they want to throw him off the highest building in town thats their decision too.

That church is a block from the hotel I stayed at overnight during the holidays. I walked down and paid my respects. I was talking to a black construction worker there and I said "Special place for all the wrong reasons, but he'll never be able to do that again." The guy replied "Yeah, HE won't."

What took the jury 3 hours? How long until he's executed? 2037?

That fucker deserves to be shot today. He's earned it. I heard on the news that he immediately asked for an appeal and new lawyers. The judge told him he'd consider it however, since Roof acted as his own counsel he would have to draft the appeal.

If you argued in your own defense, admitted it, and showed no remorse why would you appeal?

B/c he's a pussy that doesn't want to be executed.

FWIW, I'd take execution over life in prison. He won't be put in Gen Pop, those criminals would eat him alive. He'd waste his life away in solitary confinement all on our dime. :ohno: He got his hateful message out. He wanted death, let's give it to him. Take him out back and put a .22 into his heart.
