The other WRs must help out because Belichick will take Julio Jones away as a deep threat.Sanu must play big if Falcons are to win.
That hasn't been a problem all year.

Because they've never won doesn't endear them to me. Atlanta is a worse sports town than DC and that's saying something.
I agree it's not a must-see city by any means, but it is basically the college football capitol of the country (CFB HoF, SECCG, Peach Bowl).

Same here but it would be ironic if NE wins because of DEFLATEGATE.

That will never happen...I just left the DC area and the ONLY time I rooted for the 'Skins was when they played Da'Boys... :coffee:

That hasn't been a problem all year.

This ^ is an interesting response
The Falcons LOST 5 GAMES during the season - how did that happen..?

:coffee:

If it hasn't been a problem ALL YEAR how do they go 11-5 ..?
The Falcons have laid some major eggs this year
They lost to the Chargers and Tampa Bay and the Eagles...

The Falcons have "had some problems"

They scored 34 ppg in the regular season, so I'm going to go ahead and say that offensive production was not the reason. :dunce:

Okay... so Remember way back
A few years ago the Bronco's had the highest scoring offense coming into the Superbowl
and they scored 8 points

The Falcons didn't score enough points to win 5 times
So it's hardly "Not a problem all year"

that's a third of their games

Yeah and the Pats got shut out by the Bills, you read that right the Bills. And yet here they are just like the Falcons, and in reality regular season results, just like your Broncos example demonstrates, don't really have much bearing on the outcome of this game. :geek:

You didn't pay attention to dal's comment about Belichick gamplanning to make Julio Jones a non factor. You questioned my response of, "That hasn't been a problem all year." The facts are it hasn't been a problem. Julio missed two games this season with his bum toe. The Falcons scored 40+ points in both of those games and won each one going away. Julio's worst statistical games of the season: 1 catch for 7 yards, 2 catches for 29 yards, 3 catches for 29 yards, 4 catches for 35 yards, 4 catches for 60 yards, were all Falcon WINS. In 4 of Atlanta's 5 losses this season, Julio had 100+ yards receiving.

For clarity...the Falcon offense doesn't need to run through Julio Jones to win and be successful. Belichick is no dummy, but if he wants to waste precious resources and double or triple cover Julio, then good luck to the Patriots and I hope they can keep up.

The reason Atlanta had some ugly losses in the first half of the season is because they are starting 4 rookies on defense; not because teams shut down Julio Jones. :coffee:

That matters how? :?

Did it matter on February 5, 2012 when a team who "didn't score enough points to win" 7 games beat your mighty undefeated Patriots in Super Bowl XLVI? :suspicious:

Firstly
The Patriots aren't "mine" I'm just a fan not a shareholder...

The Falcons are absolutely peaking at the right time and most NFL pundits are picking them to win
They have the better offense nobody can deny that

The interesting thing is - you'd think the Falcons could just go to school on the Seahawks win against the Patriots for some ideas but the Falcons skill personnel on Defense is very different than Seattle so it's not really that helpful... The Falcons will have to come up with their own defensive plan to win

On offense:
I think the Wide-Zone run that Atlanta uses will actually be the thing that works the best against the Patriots

If there was ever a game where the Patriots will miss Gronkowski this will be it..
I think 28 points wins this game

That ^ makes you sound like you actually don't know ANYTHING about NFL football
It's not uncommon for the #3 QB with a broken thumb to lose a game...

The patriots threw 6 passes in the 1st half of that game (for example)

The spread on that game was 3.5
http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/gametracke ... 02_BUF@NE/

Yes it was an upset
But not even ranking in the top ten NFL upsets for 2016...

The Falcons vs. Eagles was a larger upset
