Not sure if it is actually true, but if it is, it's an interesting stat.
Well, remember, in the first three Super Bowls it wasn't until halftime that they could analyze the illegal video taping of the other sideline and make adjustments from there. The Rams to a man still swear today that an overmatched Patriots team suddenly seemed to be right in their huddle in the second half. Just uncanny. :coffee:

Yeah, that's a game that people don't come back from. One of the most epic chokes not just in football but in sports history. Atlanta is already dead man walking for next year.
:?

Yeah, I don't think you need to worry about that. Unlike Newton, Ryan is a character guy, is all class and a leader.

Atlanta has the most complete roster in the NFL going into next season. Between Quinn, Ryan, and Julio, I don't see any hangover from the Super Bowl going into 2017. They will be the one team nobody wants to play next year.

How do you think they'll do without Shanahan as their OC?

I am not a Patriot or Bison fan.

But keep chugging along with your attempt to stick that label on a non stick surface.

It will be a little bit of an adjustment, but Sarkisian's philosophy fits in well with what Atlanta does well. There were situations where I wished Atlanta would have ran more of a hurry up offense last season. They definitely will now with Sark as the new OC.

GATW, here is a list of teams you can make fun of me for being a fan.

Hockey -Edmonton Oilers
College football - Arizona Sun Devils - Montana Grizzlies
NFL - If I have to be forced to watch the NFL I have always gone with the Arizona Cardinals
NBA - Phoenix Suns
MLB - Atlanta Braves.

All of the above teams I have been a fan of since I was 7-10 years old.

Teams I appreciate watching because of their greatness. I am not a fan of any of the following teams:
New England Patriots - Specifically the greatest QB that ever played the game. (Tom Brady)
Golden State Warriors and San Antonio Spurs
NDSU Bison
St Louis Cardinals

Sorry that doesnt fit your narrative but it will help clear some things up for others since you will ignore the facts anyway and play on with your charade

Non-stick surface? There's no doubt that the Patriots cheated for the time period of those three Super Bowls. Unlike Deflate-gate, which while it was cheating was never anywhere close to the level that Tape-Gate was in terms of impact to the game, the Patriots were surprisingly mum when the NFL found out about the tapes and gave them the punishment they did. To deny that it happened is just being blind to reality and blind to the fact that even the Pats knew they were caught. People look at Deflate-Gate and since that one was kinda flimsy (the Pats doctored the balls, but it wasn't that big of a deal in terms of competitiveness, especially since probably a lot more teams were doing it too but didn't get caught) but the first cheating scandal was significant.

If everyone is doing it, its not cheating and so what if they are looking for a competitive advantage, that just makes me like them more since they want to win that bad. Maybe they bent a rule along with a lot of other teams but thats it.

They are being singled out because they are good and win all the time....before, after and during when people say they are "cheating". Its simply bullshit the Patriots are singled out when the Vikings and Chargers (to name two teams) have done far worse. Why no witch hunt on them GF?

The answer to that is easy...the Patriots win...

St Louis made no adjustments at half-time of that Super Bowl, and Belichick is the best in the NFL in making half-time adjustments... :thumb:

So Lance Armstrong didn't cheat when he was doping because the next 20 guys who finished behind him were also doping? Barry Bonds or Roger Clemens weren't cheaters for taking HGH and other things just because other guys were doing it too?

I was hoping somebody brought up Armstrong because its the same thing. The guy DOMINATES the TDF and EVERYONE was doping. They went after him because he was "Patrioting" the TDF. Period and end of story.

They played by the same rules everyone else was playing with and they got "labeled" because they win all the time.

So cheating is fine as long as enough people are cheating in some way. Gotcha. :coffee:

And now there is reasonable speculation (60 Minutes two Sundays ago) that Armstrong had an electric motor embedded in his bike as well.

He's a complete piece of shit. I said it here before anyone else did. Feel free to go back and look. Nobody is that good. Just doesn't happen.

Its not cheating when everyone is on a level playing field. Enforce the rules on everyone or nobody.

It is sort of awesome. The sport had to start checking into it when some chick crashed her bike in a race and the rear tire kept spinning while she was faceplanted on the side of the road.

Nonsense, there are always people that can cheat better than others - they can get better drugs, they can use the drugs better, some drugs work better on some people than others, some people have better video cameras and have better angles to use them at than others, some have more bathrooms between the officials room and the field, and so on. There's nothing to be celebrated when sports become a win at all costs mentality.
