If this were Obama or any other Democrat, you'd make no distinction in the number (and you know i'm right.) So now we're down 1. I obviously disagreed with Trip's support of Hillary and argued with him about it as well. Evidently in your zeal to define him as a homo for playing tennis, antiquing, and drinking wine, you forgot that. (Wait...I can kind of see your point there... Still not sure how it applied to politics though).

Perhaps the election changed his views on politics a little. Lord knows the Democratic Party needs some soul searching and I'm guessing that's taking place for at least a few of them. For the good of the country (for at least as long as we remain a duopoly), we need that party to strengthen and provide some balance.

IE, I believe in redemption, the ability to grow intellectually, and the importance of not putting words in other people's mouths.

Trip helping people in need and being a great citizen is awesome sauce. However, denigrating Trump and the RNC as "morally bankrupt, etc...etc...etc..." is one thing, but then actually joining and being an active member of the just as "morally bankrupt" or worse DNC is...well...**** nuts.

Trip is a smart dude. I don't agree with him on everything and I have almost as much loathing for the DNC at this point as you guys. It should be apparent that I'm not a fan of the duopoly.

But realistically, the two parties are still in power, so I'm no more bothered by him becoming active and affecting a positive change from within than I would be if Ivy were doing the same for the Republicans and all their warts.

I just don't feel inclined to lose my **** over it.

Now, the fact that Trip's follow up suggests he's not interested in affecting a real change at this point and simply volunteering gives me pause. In that case I'd rather see him help with the Greens.
