I bet Michael would still take him 1-on-1. Until Jordan is dead...Kobe is NOT the greatest player in the world.BlueHen86 wrote:Kobe is the best player in the world. But I don't like him at all and I never have. He's always been a punk.Willie wrote:Wow...the Magic fucking blew that one.

Give Kobe his due - he is the best in the world today. Jordan may be the best all time (I am a Jordan fan), but Kobe is better right now.Willie wrote:I bet Michael would still take him 1-on-1. Until Jordan is dead...Kobe is NOT the greatest player in the world.BlueHen86 wrote:

Jordan hit some incredibly clutch shots, but more importantly he also made his teammates better. Kobe does not make his teammates better the way Jordan did.

Yeah that's why I said Kobe is a selfish prick. He sucks, the team sucks. He plays well, usually the rest of the team still sucks.

Terrible 4th quarter & OT for the Magic. Hedo & Howard missing FT's, Van Gundy not fouling up 3 with less than 10 seconds to go, Nelson letting Fisher get an open look at a 3 to tie.
Say what you want about Kobe but he's averaging 8 assists a game, he's getting his teammated involved.
Bad frustration foul by Pietrus at the end, may put him on the sideline for Game 5.

I think the biggest mistake was contesting the Lakers for the whole length of the court with 10 seconds left and up 3.bluehenbillk wrote:Terrible 4th quarter & OT for the Magic. I think the Magic should have been waiting in their defensive zone and let the Lakers bring the ball up court. It would have made it harder for the Lakers to get an open 3 point shot.

the funny thing about Kobe is that people say he doesn't get his teammates involved, if you notice when he steps back and doesn't play aggressive on offense, the team usually doesn't play well. Averaging 8 assists as a shooting guard is damn good. If that's selfish then you have no clue about actually playing basketball. There will never be another MJ, Magic Johnson, Larry Bird, etc. People need to let that go.

All the Olympic team-mates have nothing but praise for Kobe, and Kobe for them. Kobe reminds me of Jordan the way you can see the competitor in each. Some hated Jordan for that, others loved him, same with Kobe.Willie wrote:Wow...the Magic **** blew that one.

Orlando has a great team, Nelson coming back after being out has cost them the championship.

Take Pip off that team and he doesn't get 4. Take Rodman and there is one, if not 2 more gone. Take Pax of the team in the early 90's there is one maybe two gone.Gil Dobie wrote:Kobe had Shaq for 3 of thembluehenbillk wrote:Michael has 6 rings, Kobe's about to have 4..........
Players don't win titles, teams do. One player can't win a title without the others. LeBron is a perfect example of that.

And it takes a Montana born, North Dakota raised coach to set the table for both.clenz wrote:Take Pip off that team and he doesn't get 4. Take Rodman and there is one, if not 2 more gone. Take Pax of the team in the early 90's there is one maybe two gone.Gil Dobie wrote:

That 16-0 2nd quarter run put the series away.
