They are long time pros who cover Seattle pro sports, EWU, WSU, Gonzaga, Idaho, WHL, IFL but will admittedly still talk Seahawks in the offseason due to demand.

Other than Mike and Mike, ESPN sucks compared to what it used to be. Beau Monte Jones? Wow.... :ohno:

Podcasts occupy most of my listening these days. I should probably go find Cowherd because he was really good at his craft, but I don't even know who the local Fox affiliate is. I assume Fox radio still sucks as bad as the rest of their productions?
Cowherd is a screamer, like listening to that lady singer for Rush. Mike and Mike are ok, but they really get into "The Best Ever" event, player, team, depending on current events.

It is bad in Utah unless you want a steady diet of Jazz, U of U or worst of all BYU. I have XM in the car and use the fox sports feed in the house to avoid the local garbage.

I miss the Junkies in DC. They used to come in on 1300am mornings in Baltimore.

I've been listening to them since 97 but they actually have gone downhill the last year or two.

That's where it's coming from. Every week I get a case of Bud Light and I don't drink that stuff. Just keeps piling up in my garage.

I Ike Dan LeBatard and Stugotz on ESPN. Even though they are from Miamuh.

I've heard from a few people that Steve Czaban is an asshole, but I liked him on the radio.
Was also a fan of Kevin Kiley when he was in D.C. and did a show with "The Coach".

LeBatard's dad is way more entertaining than he'll ever be.

He's enjoyable as well. I get the schtick they go for and find it humorous.

The sports radio here has been going apeshit. Apparently, the Duke fans in the CLT feel robbed. It's glorious.

I think Dan is hilarious. Guess you and I don't have the same sense of humor.

SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.

Hey dal, have you ever listened to WFAN's Steve Somers? He is very knowledgeable.

http://www.nytimes.com/2012/11/30/sport ... amily.html
They admire Somers’s wit and intelligence, the little set pieces he delivers at the beginning of each show, full of wordplay and alliteration.

Somers-speak is formal at times and also full of Homeric-like epithets.

Somers is funny, even irreverent, about sports, and for many listeners that, too, is part of the appeal.
For those never having heard him, here are a few recent podcasts:

I can tune in to 980 on the ride home. The Czab is great. But I can completely see him being an asshole in real life.
Geo and Jones in the morning is entertaining, on CBS sports radio(?)

Yeah, I have friends that have seen him at golf courses. Reports of being very arrogant.
