Biggest problem I'd have with living in New Zealand is that I like to be able to jump in my vehicle and drive hundreds or even thousands of miles. Like you mentioned Montana. New Zealand's got fewer square miles than Montana and it's not all contiguous land. I'd feel claustrophobic living in a a place like that. Not that I wouldn't like to visit there. I would. But I sure as heck wouldn't want to live in a relatively small Island nation like that.

I know a guy who fell out of a tree stand while hunting deer who broke his neck and died

I know a dude who was in a helicopter in Iraq and it crashed. He died too

I'm not sure if we shouldn't go hunting or if we shouldn't get in helicopters

Help me out with that

Probably not, NZ is the size of California with 10% of the population.

Pussy. In CA they crawl through the manzanita with a pistol. Texas used to have higher standards of manhood.

IMO that's pretty white for major metropolitan areas. How do those numbers compare to similarly sized cities?

I'm sure he lives in an neighborhood/area of Seattle that is 'as WHITE WHITE WHITE as you could pre-manufacture white', segregated from all those black & brown folks, along with other smug diversity for thee but not for me liberals...

Actually it's about 60% of the size of California. That's still pretty big as compared to our States. There are only 9 US States that have greater land area. But, obviously, if you live in the United States you've got a lot more contiguous land to drive around on than you'd have in New Zealand.

Look, I'm not putting New Zealand down. I know little about it. From what I've seen in images it's a beautiful place. It's just that I'm the type that likes to be able to jump in my vehicle and drive like 2500 miles. I do stuff like that.

I would love to visit New Zealand. But I know I'd never want to actually live on an Island nation like that. Just like I'd never want to live in Hawaii as a US State. Just personal preference and I totally understand other people having different preferences.

That is very cool. But I'm wondering why rain would stop them from fishing. I love fishing when it's raining because...well...rain does stop other people from fishing. Doesn't stop the fish from hitting.

One of my fondest memories is a day when a friend and I were fishing off the bank at Lacassine Refuge and it was pouring down. It was causing a bunch of other people to pull out. But we sat there in one spot and caught like 70 fish. Just put rain gear on.
