Geo and Jones in the morning is entertaining, on CBS sports radio(?)

Many sports radio and TV guys are which is kinda funny because so many of the athletes they cover are not.andy7171 wrote:Of course he is. It's his job and he's good at it for a reason.CAA Flagship wrote: Yeah, I have friends that have seen him at golf courses. Reports of being very arrogant.

89, I'm sure you heard Czaban. What do you think?CAA Flagship wrote:I've heard from a few people that Steve Czaban is an asshole, but I liked him on the radio.
Was also a fan of Kevin Kiley when he was in D.C. and did a show with "The Coach".
Did you ever listen to Kiley and the Coach?

I was a Czab listener, but I'm mostly Junkies in the AM and Dukes in the PM, even though I hate all the MMA, WWE and comic book movies he talks about endlessly sometimes.CAA Flagship wrote:89, I'm sure you heard Czaban. I think Kiley was before my time in DC, I remember him as a TV guy more than radio. I actually was on TV twice with Kiley in early 90's (I used to do a lot of TV stuff for golf then), he was a nice guy.

SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.

Hell yeah I love how he uses background music to get his point across case and point he played the 50s classic "Kansas City" by rock&roll immortal Wilbur Harrison when the NY Mets played against the KC Royals in the World Series.CAA Flagship wrote:Hey dal, have you ever listened to WFAN's Steve Somers? For those never having heard him, here are a few recent podcasts:They admire Somers’s wit and intelligence, the little set pieces he delivers at the beginning of each show, full of wordplay and alliteration.
Somers-speak is formal at times and also full of Homeric-like epithets.
Somers is funny, even irreverent, about sports, and for many listeners that, too, is part of the appeal.

My favorite show in the Twin Cities is "In the Zone", Trent Tucker and Dave Sinykin. Tucker brings in a great local perspective, being a former Gopher and NBA player, now AD for Minneapolis City Schools and Sinykin being the Head Cheese Packer fan. Good perspective on Basketball, Football and Baseball. A Hockey show follows, so they don't talk a lot of hockey.

I used to pull in The Junkies and Czab on 1300 in Baltimore. Good stuff. I can get 980 coming home and get the Czab now too.CAA Flagship wrote:89, I'm sure you heard Czaban. I like B-Mitch and Doc Walker mid day.
