In applying your own tactics against you? Yes.

I'm just not sure if you're playing dumb and masterfully trolling...

If he was trolling, then he got me. But I'm pretty sure you took his bait more than I did, as did Sticky. You actually thought he had a gotcha moment. It was a good humor post.

It WAS a gotcha moment. Because 1) you're at least as partisan as the rest, and 2) you are known for taking a select few words out of context and using them against someone.

God I hope you're trolling me and not unaware that you do #2 ... :suspicious:

God I hope you're trolling me. One, compared to some, sure, but not compared to the likes of jelly, hound, aho, bdk, AG1, hell even Cleetsus. Two, I do edit quotes down the important part to be succinct, but if I ever take them out of context it's done to troll. Again, I'm not 100% sure that was what jelly was going for. If he was trolling, then he got me, but got you far worse.

Here's an honest question for you. Would you rather somebody quote an entire post every time if all they're addressing is one part of the post? I often feel that you lose focus if you quote a long post when you're only arguing or providing a counterpoint one part of it. I can't stand it when people quote giant, long posts when they only needed one sentence from it.

It was trolling your "holier-than-thou" attitude... like you are somehow above the fray.

SDHornet... who laughs at both sides pretty fucking equally... simply laughed at Conks and you got all offended.

You said
"Posters here who end or begin posts with  donks or  conks are what's wrong with this divided country right now."
Then when posts of yours from the past come up with that in there, you claim it's satire. By your definition, you're the problem.

When being trolled, you either 1) fall for it; or 2) go along with it. :twocents:

Or is everything you post just satire?

I do believe I'm less partisan than a lot of folks on the poli board and even if you were trolling or joking, the fact that you came up with three examples that were obvious satire, one dating back to 2012, kinda supports that Jelly. I know you probably didn't spend a lot of time doing it, but if you did, you'd be hard pressed to find anything better than what you did.

We have plenty of level headed guys on the poli board but I'm just so tired of all the mud slinging and hate from both sides (talking big picture, not just here), I'm thinking of retiring from the poli board for a while. Life is too short for this much hate.

You should actually click on the links that jelly provided and read the posts. He knew those were phony examples, but you took the bait more than I did.

You forgot to say no homo. Unless you didn't forget, then nevermind. And there's nothing wrong with that.

This is why I love this board. I can call you an obtuse ass in one post ( I haven't in a while, btw) and in another agree with you 100%. :thumb:

I think i'm pretty level headed. I abhor most of what's going on in politics right now. Normally, I would've done everything I could to vote ( I waited in line for 2 hours in 2008) but this year I just didn't care. The extremes right and left flanks, IMO, were louder and more hateful in 2016 and do not reflect the vast majority of people. Again, my opinion.

Maybe not vast, but it sure feels like I'm surrounded by it. Of course you have to keep in mind that I live in a VERY blue county. The county officials have done things since the election that I've never seen before in my life. Staging a rally using Hillary logos to protest Trump... on the County's dime. They just did this...
All nine members of the Montgomery County Council, who all are Democrats, voted Tuesday to pass a resolution "to condemn President Trump's federal budget proposal and to urge the United States Congress to reject it on behalf of Montgomery County residents."
I've never seen an act like this before. Sure, it's a meaningless resolution, but why are they wasting time doing this?? It seems to me like more people are being sucked in than ever, not just that the extremes are louder.
