Yes he was and he has been for quite sometime. Koppel isn't perfect but I remember Nightline back in the day being pretty damned straight forward journalism, and very non-biased...sometimes even to to a fault. Koppel was similar to Tim Russert in this regard.

Technically speaking, Obama IS entitled to Kenyan citizenship due to being born to a Kenyan father. Kenyan citizenship is automatic, and dual citizenship is permitted.

So Obama is, in fact, an unadjudicated citizen of Kenya. The place of his birth is immaterial.

Gabbard visited Syria and met with President Bashar al-Assad in January and has been consistently cautious about American involvement in the Middle Eastern county. As stated already, tomahawks aren't used to destroy something like an airfield. You send it against a target like a command post or something moving. Different munitions for different targets.


Am it the only that thinks we ought to stop WARNING people we're going to attack? What's the point? Symbolism? **** that. It's war and it's messy. If you don't want a surgical strike against your towers, don't launch chemical weapons or murder civilians.

It's war. Or at least a preclude to war. Am I the only person here that believes in total war? War is nasty, bloody and horrible. Execute it quickly and bring about a quick and decisive end. We didn't warn the Brits, Union/confederates, Mexicans, Spanish, Germans before attacking. We didn't warn Adolf we're 1 hr from landing in Normandy. This pussy attitude is why we're in a quagmire. If we don't want to hit hit Russians, we don't fire until we know they're clear.

You can't think parts of the document are sacrosanct and other parts are not. The Constitution and the rule of law are similar in that weakening of just one aspect can bring down the whole framework. And you can argue all you want, but this isn't a recent phenomenon- it has been going on for a very long time (as Skelly pointed out... reinforcing my point that we are at the bottom of the slope, not the top)- and the lackadaisical attitude a good portion of Americans (both left and right) display towards the document is what gets us to places like where we are now: A Trump/Clinton with zero checks on warmaking powers. Or no checks on an Obama sending a drone after a USC overseas. Or take your pick of any number of ways the federal government has assumed powers not enumerated in the document (which are clearly stated to be in the purview of the states)
