Something's fishy here Francis...

http://www.philly.com/philly/infographi ... 08471.html
Philadelphia is recording homicides at the fastest pace since 2012, and those killings and others last week added to a homicide total that by Saturday at midnight stood at 203, an increase of about 8 percent over the same point last year, police statistics show.

"It's one of the things that keeps you up at night," said Police Commissioner Richard Ross, who noted that the number of shooting victims also has increased at a similar pace.

Other cities across the nation also are experiencing rising homicide rates. Thirty-seven of the 61 police departments responding to a midyear survey by the Major Cities Chiefs Association - including Atlanta, Dallas, Las Vegas, and Washington - reported rates higher than at the same point last year. Chicago has had a dramatic and well-publicized increase, surpassing 500 homicides earlier this month - already its highest annual total in a decade.

Police leaders and criminologists have found no clear explanation for the uptick in Philadelphia, let alone nationwide.
That's from the article of the guy who said the rates were rising before he said the rates were falling. Apparently he's not sure either.

Really? That is nothing more than an assumption.
Maybe they don't like the lying, but given the two choices, they saw it as a push and chose the candidate that they thought would be better with the economy and security.

Maybe I misspoke then - let's not call it the new normal, but like you said, it was lower on the list of things voters cared about in the last election, and for me, it's because it was basically a wash between the unsubstantiated things Trump was saying (both lies and misinformation) and the out and out rank corruption on the Hillary side. Since it was a wash, those things canceled each other out and we just focused on other stuff.

Yep blacks will always take the easy road to nowhere. They have for 50 years and look where it got them. Anyone with intelligence would change some of those parameters to ensure success.

Who takes the easy way out. Really, that's the best you can do. If this were so, why had the enrollment of African American students increased 40% since 1981? Why are the HBCU's still operating, if"WE" are so lazy. The only one that is lazy are white men. You had an advantage, but when all things are equal, you can't keep up. Then you want to cry foul or off yourself lie a coward. African American's have had a disadvantage from day one and we still survive and prosper. Whats you fvcking excuse :coffee:

Why you gotta bring the white man into this?

Why is racism against whites allowed? Seems to me you shouldn't judge a race by individuals.

It's impossible/exhausting to follow people on here and call them out when they make stupid remarks. I already waste massive amounts of time here. Besides, most of us routinely call out the stupid shit that's said, just not everything. :thumb:

John Kerry served in Vietnam just like John McCain. Doesn't that mean we are supposed to forgive his stupidity for perpetuity?

And yet a few short years ago you excused your hero Cheney a dozen times
