SECOND U.S. AIRSTRIKE
Emboldened by Russia’s bellicose rhetoric after the first U.S. air strike in early April, Bashir al-Assad has no intention of scaling down his onslaught against dwindling resistance from the Free Syrian Army and Islamist rebels to claim victory in the six-year civil war.
On April 12 there is another chemical attack, this time targeting the rebel-held city of Idlib in north-western Syria, near the Turkish border. Once again, the West is horrified by claims it is Assad’s forces that have used sarin gas, with scores of women and children among the estimated 1,200 casualties, although independent confirmation is hard to come by.
Russian frigates, fighter aircraft and tactical bombers are also being deployed, with the goal of resisting what President Putin calls ‘the unholy alliance of American imperialism and Islamic fascism’ +5

I didnt read the article but I am concerned with how much money this is going to cost me. Thats all I care about and I am about to stop the problem from my end, its been headed that way for the last 8 years.

There are 2 parties that were overlooked in this guys story: China and North Korea.

Chinese (and Russian) relations have soured over the years. There's still a relationship and China is a major trade partner of N.Korea. Any major conflict like this guy is suggesting involving the US and Russia will bring these two countries to the table in some fashion.

Such drama. WWIII is not imminent and the US and Russia are not about to duke it out. Sure, there could be some more frayed nerves over Syria, and if Assad uses chemical weapons again (which would be unlikely because clearly Russia does not like the bad publicity) there will be more strikes. But at the end of the day, neither Trump nor the American people really care enough about Syria, or even Russia for that matter, to go down a long line of escalation. We may lob some more missiles in, we may arm various factions, and probably much of it will be ineffective in the end, and we'll lose interest in it. Syria's been a horror show for years now and few have really noticed. As long as they don't gas people again, people won't notice again.

"U.S. strikes Syria militia threatening U.S.-backed forces: U.S. official

The U.S. military carried out an air strike on Thursday against militia supported by the Syrian government who had moved against U.S.-backed fighters in the country's south, a U.S. official told Reuters on Thursday.

The official, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said the strikes took place near the town of At Tanf and followed warning shots by U.S. aircraft meant to dissuade the fighters."
