How about NBC as well?
A review of the surveillance material flagged by House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes shows no inappropriate action by Susan Rice or any other Obama administration official, Republican and Democratic Congressional aides who have been briefed on the matter told NBC News.

President Donald Trump told the New York Times he believed former National Security Adviser Rice broke the law by asking for the identities of Trump aides who were mentioned in transcripts of U.S. surveillance of foreign targets. Normally, the identities of Americans are blacked out in transcripts circulated by the National Security Agency, but they may be "unmasked," if their identities are relevant to understanding the intelligence.

You really are obsessed with this aren't you?

Like I said, we'll see in time if the unmasking was appropriate to specific investigations

I've said before that's her out- the 2011 rule change that allows intel to be distributed wide, coupled with unmasking the names of campaign officials virtually guarantees they will be leaked

And the person who did the unmasking can take the Alfred E Neumann defense

Bump for updates on this case. I've been distracted lately.

Still looking for win, Jelly?

Talk about moving goalposts!

I totally called this one -

It is likely nobody will look too hard at what's her name's unmasking history... at least not Mueller... they're too busy looking under other stones

But thank you for dredging up a thread where you misguidedly questioned my skills of deduction

I teach a class if you'd like to enroll

Why wouldn't Sessions? He's in charge of DOJ. I don't think it would be part of his recusal. And, if it was - Rosenstein could pursue it.

Seems like there was good reason for unmasking. Which is what I said in our original back-and-forth. It's not a scandal if unmasking was warranted. :thumb:

Unmasking Flynn specifically isn't the issue, Jelly. That one by itself may or may not have been warranted- based on when she did it. I don't know how to better explain it to you than I already have.

She unmasked everybody associated with the Trump campaign. It wasn't a scalpel, it was a fire hose.

If I were in the Trump admin I might encourage them to leave it alone - and that might well be why Sessions isn't messing with it. Political recriminations after the fact when government has changed hands are a VERY bad road to go down - it is the hallmark of places like countries in West Africa and most of Central America.

That's why Ford rightly pardoned Nixon. It is time to move on.

Burr did not raise concerns about allegations that Rice improperly unmasked any US individuals, an issue first raised by House intelligence committee Chairman Devin Nunes.

"The unmasking thing was all created by Devin Nunes, and I'll wait to go through our full evaluation to see if there was anything improper that happened," Burr said. "But clearly there were individuals unmasked. Some of that became public which it's not supposed to, and our business is to understand that, and explain it."
