I feel that at this point, too many live vicariously through the unfettered support of other people. It's as if when Trump is "#winning," they're also "#winning" at life. It's the same for many liberals, even though it's a fake reality they've built around themselves.

Re: Comey Fired
This is Trump's biggest fuckup since the rollout of the first immigration ban... that was also rushed incompetently with no plan.
Ok. He wants Comey fired. Comey certainly did some unorthodox things. I don't think he acted maliciously (either for or against Clinton) and was caught in a no-win situation. But, whatever. It's not like he is unassailable.
But, why the fuck rush it like this? Have someone ready to step in that is competent and widely respected. It would immediately assuage fears about the motivations.
I have my assumptions for why it was rushed... but, I'm curious what the defenders think about why it was handled the way it was. Anybody?

Jon thinks anyone that didn't vote for Clinton is against him, his lifestyle and therefore they are traitors and need to die. He overreacts. You can't reason or have a reasonable conversation with someone that is too emotional. They don't listen to facts. Like the fact that people are in jail right now for mishandling classified documents/information in a manner less egregious than Clinton. Jon (and liberals) can't own up to the fact that they are as flawed as the Republicans they love to loathe.

Lol - at least 200K in Wisconsin were not able to vote.
And the Clinton Uranium deal - looked into already, nothting there.
Emails? Again, beaten to death, nothing there.
Clinton Foundation? Again, nothing there. But you are so fucking stupid on that - the Trump Foundation IS A FUCKING SCAM. But you are too fucking stupid to see that.
Trump is a fucking traitor to the United States. Anyone with a brain can see that. Fuck the rest of you for destroying my country - supporting trump is supporting treason.
I didn't bring up any of those issues you presented here. I am talking about the assertion that the FBI investigation is about Russia changing votes which is what I took the other posters stance to be.

Why not let Comey resign? Do a good, internal search for a competent person and then allow Comey to take his leave.
At least let Comey know you're going to fire him before it's blasted all over CNN and Drudge.

Eh, there is a lot of tacit support if not outright support from what I see for the retard. Clinton was a POS as well. No need to defend either on of them for the most part.Ibanez wrote:I don't think many people here are actually defending Trump. Re: Comey Fired
That the timing with Comey asking DOJ for more funding specifically to widen the Russia investigation and now a grand jury in Virginia sending out subpoenas isn't coincidental. I think the Russia investigation is finding out way more than Trump originally assumed.Ibanez wrote:What are your assumptions?
Yeah, there is also an internal investigation into Comey's actions by the inspector general. Let that process finish and it would likely be highly critical and the timing would be much less questionable.Ibanez wrote:l search for a competent person and then allow Comey to take his leave.

Absolutely. I've disliked people in that office a couple times. I've always respected them for the office and the weight of the job. I do not respect this fucker in any way. What if the center moves? Do you move with it? What if there are only two parties and they don't offer a viable or principled choice?GannonFan wrote:The more the merrier!!!! If only more of us were true centrists.Ivytalk wrote: Are you now challenging GF and UNI88 for the "CS.com centrist" title?
I'd much rather have more independents, unattached to either party and that weigh each issue regardless of where the middle is, than more centrists. Independents are more principled that way.
